No. Expertini Research does not require institutional affiliation. You can register with any email address — Gmail, personal domain, or institutional email are all accepted.
We explicitly support four researcher types: Academic Researcher, Student Researcher, Corporate Researcher, and Independent Researcher. The last two categories in particular are designed for people working outside traditional academic structures.
Researcher accounts can submit papers, manage publications, access author analytics, and use the full research tool suite. Researcher accounts are for anyone who produces research — not just academics.
Subscriber accounts are for readers. They can bookmark papers, follow researchers, set paper alerts, and use some of the tools (Paper Summariser, Paper Search). They cannot submit papers.
You can register for either at researcher/register or register.
Yes. Google OAuth is available on both the register and login pages. When signing in with Google for the first time, you are asked to select your account type (Researcher or Subscriber). Your Google profile picture is used as your default profile photo.
After registering and completing your researcher profile, go to your dashboard and click "Submit New Paper" (or visit /researcher/submit-paper/). The form has four steps:

Most papers are reviewed and approved within 24 hours, often faster. We review submissions for basic compliance — minimum content requirements, appropriate labelling, no clearly harmful or illegal content.
We do not evaluate scientific merit. Our review is not peer review. If your paper meets the minimum requirements, it will be approved.
You receive an email confirmation when your paper goes live, including your permanent paper URL.

A PDF and full text are optional — but strongly recommended for discoverability. Papers with full text are ranked higher in search results and provide more material for Google Scholar to index.
Yes, in most cases. Most journals — including those published by Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, and IEEE — now have explicit preprint policies that permit posting before or during peer review. arXiv preprints are widely accepted.
Always check the specific journal's preprint policy before submitting there. When you submit to the journal, disclose that a preprint exists on Expertini Research. This is considered good practice and is required by some journals.

The type label appears on your paper page and is included in citation metadata. Readers and citation managers can filter by type.
Yes. During submission Step 3, you can add co-author names and institutions. The submitting account is listed as the corresponding author. Co-authors do not need to have Expertini Research accounts, but you should have their permission to submit on their behalf.
Yes. You can edit your paper's metadata and full text at any time from your researcher dashboard. Changes go live immediately.
For major revisions, we recommend noting in your abstract or a version note that the paper has been revised, with the date of revision. This maintains an honest record for readers who may have cited the earlier version.
If you need to make a correction that affects a key finding or claim, consider adding a correction notice explaining what changed and why.
Email research@expertini.com with your paper URL and the reason for retraction. We process retraction requests within 5 working days.
Following established academic practice, retracted papers remain visible on the platform with a prominent retraction notice explaining the reason. This allows citations to the paper to still resolve correctly — which matters because removing a paper entirely breaks the citation chain for anyone who cited it.
A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is a persistent identifier registered with a DOI registration agency (Crossref, DataCite). It makes your paper permanently citable even if the URL changes.
During submission, select "Standard + DOI ($15)" or "Featured + DOI ($25)". You can also add a DOI to a previously published paper from your dashboard.
DOI assignment typically takes 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed. Your DOI will follow the pattern 10.XXXXX/expertini.XXXXXX.
Yes — every published paper on Expertini Research has complete citation meta tags that Google Scholar uses for indexing. Most papers appear in Google Scholar within 3–10 days of publication.
To check your meta tags before or after publication, use our Scholar Meta Preview tool. If your paper is not indexed after two weeks, contact us at research@expertini.com and we will investigate.
Your Paper Statistics dashboard shows views, downloads, citations, and comments for all your published papers. Data updates daily.
For external citation tracking, check Google Scholar directly — search for your paper title and look at the "Cited by" count. Once your paper has a DOI, it also appears in Crossref, Dimensions, and OpenAlex citation databases.
We investigate all credible reports. If we receive a report about your paper, we will contact you for a response before making any decision. You have the right to explain or rebut any concerns raised.
If we find sufficient evidence of a serious integrity violation, we will issue a retraction with a notice explaining the reason. If the concern is minor (e.g. inadequate citation), we may ask you to make a correction rather than retract.
False or malicious reports are taken seriously too — we do not remove papers based on unsubstantiated complaints from competitors or critics.
This depends on the journal's copyright policy. Many journals permit authors to post preprints or accepted manuscripts in open repositories. The key distinction is:

You do. Authors publishing on Expertini Research retain full copyright over their work. We are granted a non-exclusive licence to host and display the paper. You can simultaneously publish elsewhere, submit to journals, or request removal at any time.
We do not transfer copyright to Expertini or claim any ownership over submitted research.
