Step-by-Step Submission

The submission process is divided into four stages — basic information, full text and figures, author details, and review. You can save a draft at any point and return to it later.

1
Register as a Researcher
Create a free account at researcher/register. Select your researcher type — Academic, Student, Corporate, or Independent. You can also sign in with Google. No institutional email required.
You do not need a university affiliation to register. Independent researchers, practitioners, and students outside traditional institutions are all welcome.
2
Complete Your Researcher Profile
Add your designation, institution or organisation, research areas, and — if you have one — your ORCID iD. A complete profile improves the discoverability of your papers and builds credibility with readers.
ORCID integration is optional but strongly recommended. It links all your research outputs under a single persistent identifier that follows you across institutions and employers.
3
Prepare Your Submission
Your paper requires: a clear title (10–250 characters), an abstract (100–5,000 characters), at least one keyword, a research category, and an output type. Full text is optional but strongly recommended for discoverability.
Full text: you can paste directly into our rich-text editor, upload a DOCX or PDF for text extraction, or type from scratch. Figures can be uploaded separately and inserted as placeholders in the text.
4
Select Your Output Type
Choose the output type that most accurately describes your submission. We support 14 types — from preprint and peer-reviewed article to doctoral thesis, white paper, and registered report. The type label appears on your paper page and in citation exports.
Important: if you select "Peer-Reviewed", you are confirming that this paper has been accepted by or published in a recognised journal. We check for credible peer-review claims on flagged submissions.
5
Choose a Publication Option
Free publication gives you a permanent URL, DOI-style identifier, Google Scholar indexing, and citation export. Optional paid upgrades include a registered DOI (from a recognised DOI registration agency) and featured placement.
The free option is complete and permanent. Paid options enhance discoverability and academic credibility — they do not affect your paper's accessibility to readers.
6
Submit and Wait for Review
After submission, your paper enters a brief compliance review. We check for: minimum content requirements, appropriate labelling, absence of clearly harmful or illegal content, and no obvious duplication of an existing submission.
We do not evaluate scientific merit. Most papers pass compliance review within 24 hours. You will receive an email confirmation when your paper is live, with your permanent paper URL.
7
Google Scholar Indexing
Once published, your paper page includes full Google Scholar citation meta tags — covering title, author, date, abstract URL, PDF URL (if provided), keywords, language, and DOI. Google Scholar typically discovers and indexes compliant pages within 3–10 days.
You do not need to submit your paper to Google Scholar manually. The meta tags are sufficient. If your paper has not appeared in Google Scholar after two weeks, contact us and we will investigate the metadata.

We accept 14 distinct research output types. Each is clearly labelled on paper pages and in citation metadata.

Preprint

After Publication

Once your paper is live, you can edit its metadata and full text at any time from your researcher dashboard. Changes to content are reflected immediately. If you need to retract a paper, contact us at research@expertini.com — we process retraction requests within 5 working days.

You can track views, citations, and downloads for each paper from your Paper Statistics dashboard. Citation exports in BibTeX, APA, RIS, and MLA are available on every paper page — and readers can generate them without logging in.

Simultaneous submission to journals: most journals now permit preprint posting before or during peer review. We recommend checking your target journal's preprint policy. arXiv, bioRxiv, SSRN, and Expertini Research are all widely accepted preprint platforms. Always disclose prior preprint posting to journals at submission.
