Subscriber & Reader FAQ

Reading and discovering press releases —
your questions answered

Everything subscribers and readers need to know about finding releases, setting alerts, exporting pickup data, and getting the most out of the platform's free tools.

Reading & Access

Do I need an account to read releases?

No. Every press release on Expertini Wire is publicly accessible without registration or login. Open access means genuinely open — not open-access-with-a-login-wall.

An account is only needed for features that involve saving your preferences: bookmarking releases, following publishers, setting release alerts, and using the AI tools.

How do I search for releases in a specific industry?

Several options:

  • Browse by category: The Browse Releases page lets you filter by any of our 20 industry categories using the sidebar.
  • Browse by release type: Filter by output type (press release, product launch, report, etc.) from the same sidebar.
  • Keyword search: Use the search bar to search across titles, summaries, keywords, and company names simultaneously.
  • Article Search tool: The Article Search tool provides full-text semantic search with relevance ranking.
How do I know what type of release I am reading?

Every release displays its type prominently on the release page: Press Release, Product Launch, Announcement, Report, White Paper, Opinion, and so on. We never obscure this information.

All releases on Wire are publisher-submitted and editorially reviewed for compliance, but not independently verified for factual accuracy. Always verify claims with primary sources before acting on release content.

Can I export pickup data without an account?

Yes. The Pickup Exporter is free and requires no login. Enter any article slug or URL and download the pickup list as CSV or JSON. This tool is designed for journalists, analysts, and PR professionals who need to track distribution without registering.

Subscriber Features

What can I do with a free subscriber account?

A free subscriber account gives you:

  • Release Alerts: Get email notifications when new releases are published in your chosen industry categories or matching your keywords
  • Bookmarks: Save releases to your reading list for later
  • Follow Publishers: Follow specific companies and publishers and get notified of their new releases
  • AI Summariser: Get plain-English summaries of any release summary (5 uses per day on free plan)
  • Comment and engage: Leave comments on release pages
How do I set up release alerts?

After registering a subscriber account, go to Article Alerts from your dashboard. You can set alerts by:

  • Industry category — get all new releases in Recruitment, HR Technology, AI, etc.
  • Keyword — get releases matching specific search terms
  • Publisher — follow a specific company or PR agency

Choose daily or weekly digest frequency. You can pause, edit, or delete alerts at any time from your dashboard.

How do I track media pickups for a specific release?

Every release page has a "Pickups" button that links to the Pickup Exporter for that release. You can export pickup data as:

  • CSV — open in Excel or Google Sheets; share with your PR team
  • JSON — import into dashboards, spreadsheets, or your CRM

No login required for the Pickup Exporter. Works for any published release on Wire.

How do I import release data into a spreadsheet or tool?

CSV export: Open the Pickup Exporter, enter the article slug, select CSV, and download. Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool.

JSON export: Select JSON format for programmatic import into dashboards, CRM systems, or PR monitoring tools.

The Article Search tool also allows you to search and filter releases before exporting specific pickup data.

How do I delete my subscriber account?

Go to your profile settings (accessible from the account menu) and select "Delete Account". Your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Releases you have bookmarked or commented on retain your comments anonymously — the content remains visible but is not linked to your profile.

If you want a full data export before deletion, email wire@expertini.com and we will provide one.
