**Your Role and Responsibilities**

**We are looking for individuals in the following cities and/or willing to self relocate.** **Locations are within the metro areas of the following:** **New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Atlanta, Columbus, Ohio and Houston.**

+ Be accountable for developing a comprehensive big data architecture including hybrid cloud computing, data lake, data appliance, data warehouse, data movement, analytical, virtualization, visualization, decision science platform, etc.

+ Oversee the architecture for the cognitive components including unstructured data technologies, cognitive APIs, annotation and related data and analytics

+ Provides overall architecture leadership in the delivery engagement with key client stakeholders to drive strategy to implementation.

+ Provide consulting in customer Journey to the Cloud and related migration strategies. Strong understanding of big data approaches, industry standards and best practices.

+ Be accountable for defining and explaining best practices and usage patterns across the various components across the big data ecosystem

+ Be accountable for creating end-to-end solution design and development approach in a big data environment including hardware and software recommendations

+ Design, test, and continuously improve performance of big data solutions based on Hadoop and/or Cloud platforms

+ Expertly utilize distributed/parallel processing for information management solution design and development

+ Strong soft skills that you can bring to bear to drive organizational and operational transformation

+ Perform hands on development, coaching and leadership through all project phases

+ Provide advisory help in selecting products and components as part of sales solutioning

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**

+ At least 5 years of experience in senior technical relationship and leadership skills

+ At least 5 years of experience in big data architecture.

+ At least 3 years with cloud native platforms – AWS, Azure, Google, Snowflake

+ At least 3 year of experience in the distributed cluster environment.

+ At least 5 years of experience in use of open source tools such as: Java technology (Hadoop, HDFS, Scala, Hive, Storm, YARN, etc. – i.e., Hadoop 2.0), Python and/or BASH/CSH scripting.

+ At least 3 years of experience in a consulting environment.

+ At least 2 years of experience in the following components of the Hadoop ecosystem: Hive, HBase, Spark, Scala, Storm, YARN, Flume, and/or Oozie.

+ Experience with one or more of these skills-HDFS, HBase, Spark, Scala, HIVE, PIG, Java/C++, Python, SQL, Linux or other large scale data technologies and Java Technologies, EAI, SOA, CEP etc.

+ Working experience on Agile & Scrum methods

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**

+ At least 3 years of experience in working within the Industrials sector with specific concentration in Automotive & Aerospace, Electronics /High Tech, or Oil & Gas preferred

+ At least 3 years of experience in negotiating and selling consulting projects

+ Foundational understanding of Data Science principles and methods

+ At least 2 years of experience in hands on ETL script development and batch processing.
