**1** **MARKETING KNOWLEDGE**

Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of those sectors of the market relative to the business to ensure the company’s products achieve their maximum potential.

**Main Activities:**

+ Establish and maintain accurate overall market information relating to size, trends, selling prices and promotional programs.

+ Evaluate economic trends and changes in consumer demand.

+ Monitor and analyze competitors’ activities, highlighting its potential impact on the business.

+ Gather and analyze market & sales data

+ Generate reports on marketing and sales metrics

+ Perform clerical and administrative duties as needed

**2** **MARKETING PLANS/ACTIVITIES**

Develop and recommend for marketing plans to achieve optimum sales and profitability within company guidelines.

**Main Activities:**

+ Develop and implement marketing plans which include sales/profit objectives, strategies, tactics, sales and promotional budgets.

+ Organize promotional campaigns and coordinate all aspects of product advertising including new product launch.

+ Ensure attendance at conferences for achieving maximum market exposure within the constraints of the promotional budget.

+ Participate in the process of determining price and volume discount policies.

+ Collaborate to generate digital and print advertising material

+ Ideate and coordinate with the marketing design and content teams

**3** **NEW PRODUCT OPPORTUNITIES**

Identify and communicate new product opportunities to management.

**Main Activities:**

+ Develop a marketing proposal and/or plans for new products providing detailed market forecasts of volume, price and cost.

+ Search, identify and implement continuously, product line consolidation/discontinuance programs.

**4** **TECHNICAL PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING**

Develop and maintain superior technical product knowledge and provide specialist training to sales staff and customers.

**Main Activities:**

+ Develop and implement product training programs to ensure staffs are fully conversant with selling features and benefits of assigned products.

+ Recognize and understand strengths and weakness of competitors’ products with specific relevance to company’s products within which training is being given.
