You are our new Design Operations Lead.

As Design Operations Lead, you will advance our Design practice by solving challenges and building processes in a holistic, integrated way that creates a high-performing environment across our organization. In this critical position, you will work closely with our Design Executive and Design Leaders as a strategist, advisor, and implementer focused on the full range of business needs, including resource allocation, metrics, procurement, hiring forecast, and funding/budget support. The ideal candidate will work alongside all Design team members as well as interact closely with peers in Offering Management and Engineering enabling the team to build superior client experiences.

**Responsibilities include:**

+ Serving as a bridge between Design Executive, Management, and Design organization to drive key strategic initiatives forward.

+ Measure, improve, and maintain Design metrics (health, culture, and performance), ensuring alignment with businessobjectives and and communicate KPIs to stakeholders, including our executive leadership

+ Defining and driving our strategy for portfolio planning and management, metrics, talent forecastingand budget and business planning.

+ Establishing operational processes, standards, and best practices with the goal of improving cross-functional collaboration, workflows, project estimations and resourcing.

+ Collaborating across the entire Design organization to manage process and policy communications and provide transparency into key project and program activities.

**Location:**

Poughkeepsie, NY (IBM Studios Pok) or New York City (IBM Astor Place)

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**

+ Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or Master’s degree highly preferred.

+ Demonstrated experience leading operations within a large, complex organization (Design function preferred)

+ Demonstrated experience in project management, collaboration and facilitation skills to work across businesses, sectors, and functions.

+ Self-driven, thrives in ambiguous situations and is capable of achieving results with globally diverse team members.

+ Highly analytical, able to interpret and translate data, visual models/dialogue and aggregate into tangible plans and meaningful actions to drive results

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Extremely organized and able to manage competing priorities, gain stakeholder alignment to move initiatives forwar

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**

Passion for emerging technologies and hunger to innovate

Experience in other Design led transformation efforts
