**Your Role and Responsibilities**
IBM is seeking to hire a Delivery Implementer Technical Consultant to join our team. In this role, the candidate will assist in the delivery of customer implementations. The candidate will work as a lead team member in the solution design and will participate in the implementation of solution components such as the creation of partners, mailbox setups, network setups, and scheduling, scripting, and other processes. Also, the candidate will perform technical assessments and provide solution recommendations to meet customer requirements. The candidate will have a moderate to high impact on revenue.
+ Assisting with the technical components of customer implementations to ensure company standards are met
+ Understanding customer and data flows to ensure effective systems, procedures, and processes are implemented and maintained
+ Communicating regularly with client stakeholders, project managers, development staff, and support groups regarding customer implementation and procedures
+ Documenting project solutions in project required documents
+ Troubleshooting customer issues by phone, and on-site if required
+ Providing advice and guidance to the technical support team
+ Maintaining and recommending enhancements to the coding, implementation, and technical standards as defined by the IBM Sterling Managed Services area
+ Protecting the customer production environment through unit, customer, and production acceptance or integration testing as needed
+ Implementing components or changes to customer test and production environment
+ Ensuring customer satisfaction by considering customer perspective when designing solutions
+ Approaching problem solving from an overall solution perspective
+ Creating customer/partner profiles
+ Assisting with establishing best practices for future Software as a Service (SaaS) implementations
+ Reviewing documented customer implementation activity with client stakeholders
Successful Team Members in this role have:
+ Demonstrated understanding of electronic commerce technologies and communications
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing GENTRAN, Sterling Integrator (GIS), or similar translation applications, data mapping and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications such as Security Authentication Providers (SAP), Oracle and/or Peoplesoft, Windows 3.x/95/98/NT/2000/XP and Structured Query Language (SQL) Servers
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Connect: Direct, AS2, FTP, HTTP, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), Extensible Markup Language (XML),12 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), EDIFACT (Electronic Data Interchange For Administration, Commerce and Transport), TRADACOMS , Systems Applications, and Products Intermediate Document (SAP IDOC)
+ Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
+ Exhibited experience with Windows NT, UNIX or Comm
+ Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
+ Proven project management and multitasking skills with demonstrated follow-through
+ Exhibited ability to develop strategies addressing the short and long-term needs of users while being self-motivated and working under general supervision
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
+ At least 1 year experience in Sterling Integrator
+ At least 2 years experience in technical implementation
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
+ At least 3 years experience in Sterling Integrator
+ At least 5 years experience in technical implementation
