More information can be found athttps://www.lafarge.ca/en/careers.Lafarge has an immediate opening for an experienced Foundation Concrete Place and Finisherwho will join our Foothills Ready Mix and Construction team in Calgary.Responsibilities and not limited to:Perform general construction labor to include jobsite clean-up and moving of materials by hand.Operating motorized equipment including power tools, grinders, saws, hammers, etc.Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.Assist in pouring and placing concrete.Mostly interior work but could be exposed to cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project site.Minimum Qualifications:High school diplomaFrequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of materialand up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.Valid driver’s licensePreferred Experience:Preference given to candidates with concrete construction labor work experience at meets or exceeds performance expectations.Preference also given to those willing to learn and work in a team environment.Competencies:Safety orientedAble to lift 50 lbs.Able to work in a fast paced, high production environmentWilling to work overtime and shifts when needed including SaturdaysAble to work unsupervisedAble to work well with othersGood communication skillsPre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing and a criminal record check may be required.As the world leader in the building materials industry, LafargeHolcim Ltd and its subsidiaries have the assets necessary to meet the building and design challenges of today’s increasing urbanization.
