Description Position Purpose & Summary To manage and lead demand and supply planning for edible oil categories, under the framework of Integrated Business Planning (IBP). To develop relationships with relevant stakeholders, establishing Inventory and optimization strategies, and guide the team engaged in the day to day operations Principal Accountabilities Demand Planning – 35 PERCENT Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts Supply Planning – 35 PERCENT Operational Planning and Exception Management Using MRP planning tools, place and manage intercompany orders. For assigned region, manage lot specific orders daily. Ensure proper balancing of inventory and that orders are not disrupting the supply chain when inventory is short for assigned product line Inventory Management Seek for opportunities to optimize inventory, availability across viable sourcing lanes. Lead aging inventory process for assigned product line to identify products with excess inventory, products approaching expiration, slow moving products and drive rebalance in order to optimize inventory, reduce liability for aging inventory with minimize write offs. Order management Ensure day to day focus on availability, performing root cause analysis and prevention and managing stock outs. Lead expedite meeting with supply planning for product line on fair share allocation and escalate stock out issues to Supply Planning and MRP Planning leadership where appropriate. Review channel capacity on a daily basis, and develops plan in case of gaps in order to minimize cost to serve and impact to customers. Cost optimization through collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Creating Supply-Chain Visibility & Environmental Understanding for better decision making – 30 PERCENT Integrate demand signal visibility by immersing with customers/consumer into a systematic sales and operations management process that intelligently evaluates alternatives, makes decisions and reacts Create moderately complex internal/external benchmark reports and activities across, and may provide input to the development of an organizational roadmap to accommodate it Communicate with all relevant stakeholders in the process using a comprehensive understanding of supply chain planning practices and procedures Identify and lead projects relating to Supply chain improvements at the Plant Lead recovery of supply-chain disruptions and manage any exigencies Qualifications Required Qualifications Graduate in Business/Operations Management 4-5 years experience in managing product category planning Knowledge of Forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, market analytics and scenario planning Understanding of Project Management and Change Management Strong facilitation skills are a must Strong communication skills Excellent organizational skills, high degree of planning and attention to detail Process driven; documents and maintain policies, procedures and key measures Ability to manage multiple stakeholders & changing priorities; make sound decisions under pressure & work effectively in a team environment Ability to rapidly learn new systems & procedures Excellent time management, organization & interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Has experience in leading sales and operating plans involving multiple stakeholders Strong analytical background with a sound understanding of statistics APICS or other supply chain certifications preferred Career Development The is about handling a category planning role which gives immense opportunity to experience and learn.
