The role is based in Hyderabad / Gurgaon. The incumbent will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary GBAM Transformation and Change team. He/she will manage the projects in GBAM Operations program book of work, identifying and tapping into new opportunities working in close collaboration with various Global Banking and Markets Ops and Technology teams. He will be expected to create and manage the strong pipeline of technology requirements from various operations team, analyze suitable strategic and tactical solutions, help in prioritizing and development of those systems through testing and ensure optimal deployment by working closely with respective technology and operations teams across GBAM. Forging strong relations with stake holders across the globe and ability to influence them on prioritization will also be one of key responsibilities of this role. He will be expected to use his/her knowledge of processes and best practices within operations, risk management and stakeholder management to run the team in a smooth transparent manner mitigating the operational risk. This incumbent will be required to work out of BA Continuum India Ltd. BA Continuum is a nonbank subsidiary of Bank of America, part of our Global Delivery Center of Expertise in the bank, which has more than 15,000 employees working across offices in Gurgaon, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. Responsibilities Process Create a high performance culture to add value to GBAM Ops through various improvements by bringing together the operational/technical expertise and drive through more efficient ways in Operations Work with the global stakeholders to ensure the book of work from India Ops gets prioritized for tech solutions Establish and monitor dashboards to perform review of execution and improvement ideas Manage process escalations by working with stakeholders Identifies key global and local influencers to ensure work gets delegated to respective team member Manage workload to ensure effective and efficient utilization of technology resources People Required to maximize the potential within Ops to identify change agents and align talent needs to meet/exceed business goals Identify, evangelize and create a team with the right mix of resources across teams for successful delivery of initiative/project Tracks and measures team performance Ensure the team adheres to the organizational policies and procedures Engages and motivates the team Stakeholder Management Build good relations with line of business and technology stakeholders in India by discussing feedback on performance around Operations and Tech collaboration Should be able to structure the opinions and actions of key stakeholders gaining their trust and commitment to the desired output Takes action to address the concerns of the stakeholders Creates an environment of transparency Build good relations with internal support stakeholders like HR, Technology etc. Set strategic direction Person is required to demonstrate deep understanding of business and leverage it to define a convincing plan for the future The individual should also identify opportunities to reengineer, reinvent and add value to the business by translating strategies into definite actions with transparent accountability Review the footprint of the technology from Operations perspective and work towards expanding the scope of work Pro-actively identify and resolved team issues and concerns Keep a tab on upcoming industry developments to identify and mitigate any upcoming issues / risks Risk Management and Control The individual will need to ensure that offshore change management remains consistent and compliant with country / BAML policies and management standards Need to ensure appropriate control and governance is maintained across all India based teams The role also calls for strategic partnership with other LoB leaders, wherein s/he will help outline and build the internal service delivery plan PAN India Accountable for anticipating and managing risk/reward trade-offs and ensure proper risk disciplines are in place to enhance the banks reputation among stakeholders Be pro-active and engage control partners/ technology to identify and mitigate operational risks Candidate Profile The individual should have 14 years of Banking and Financial Services experience and held leadership positions in an international environment with extensive knowledge of GBAM products and processes. The individual should have a proven track record of building solutions with cross functional teams and experience of managing large tech roll-outs. He should possess a comprehensive expertise in strategic planning to ensure flawless execution from initiating a solution to implementing the technology solution. Proven experience of providing thought leadership to overcome challenges and lead without direct authority, excellent skills with an ability to manage the group of fast paced team supporting multiple business verticals. He/she should be able to act independently with a strong work ethic, will-to-win to formulate solutions in complex fast paced environment and strong control mind-set. Has the gravity to interact at all levels of management to support resolution of complex business issues. Ideal Candidate should be able to influence senior stakeholders through strategic outlook and demonstrate ability to achieve targets, provide solutions towards overcoming business challenges, setbacks and uncertainty as well as the display the ability to effectively plan for contingencies to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. The ideal candidate will have well-developed general management skills and deep technical/ functional knowledge. Individual should have demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed and significantly multi-geography, multi-cultural offshore service delivery environment. A convincing executive presence which conveys composure and confidence in all situations, the credibility and stature to carry stakeholders through influence rather than via the hierarchy, and the highest standards of personal integrity and trust are key attributes for this position. Individual should have the resilience to handle internal pressures and conflicts in dealing with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the personal ability to collaborate, operate, and communicate effectively with a culturally diverse group of peers and colleagues. A qualified Operations Professional with professional degree like CA / MBA from a reputed institute 14 years of operational management and transformation/change experience in Global Banking and Markets Inclusive Leadership with ability to lead and drive a team to achieve results Strong collaboration and relationship management skills High sense of urgency with ability to drive results Effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills Self-starter, able to establish relationships and transcend multiple cross-functional/divisional boundaries, largely unaided Ability to handle diverse workload and tight schedules Strong risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
