Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs. In Cash & Trade, you will be part of the product management team that provides seamless and cost-effective solutions to customers. Whether it is through conducting market research, or by enhancing a product or system’s features to meet customers’ needs, you will have every opportunity to shape the business. You will also be exposed to a myriad of Trade and Cash Management products through various marketing campaigns and joint visits with our relationship managers. Job Purpose To strategize, develop new & strengthen existing Receivables products, systems & processes of all payment channels (cheque, cash, electronic both domestic and foreign currency). To strengthen the features and functionalities offered in order to attract value-based customers. To develop an acquisition strategy optimizing product value & profitability. In addition, the role could envisage taking on special projects to support the cash management business. Key Accountabilities Develop Receivables suite of Products to support Cash Management business. This would include all forms of receivables (cheque / cash / electronic) and this would cover both domestic and foreign currency receipts. Effectively manage projects of all new Product Rollouts. To ensure that all applicable approvals are in place before product roll out. In addition, documentation, procedures, pricing, marketing collateral etc. as applicable needs to be prepared and finalised prior to the Product rollout. Commercialise all Product rollouts. This includes training to all relevant stakeholders as well as sales campaigns / sales packs to drive product usage. To track revenue generation / benefit realisation and compare with the Product Plan / Objectives. Generation and dissemination of all relevant MIS to all relevant stakeholders. Also to support sales in complex sales pitches. Support and manage special projects (such as deposit generation initiatives etc.) which are floated from time to time. Special projects to be determined in consultation with Head Product. Establish profile of the Bank as a cash management provider in India . Undertake frequent competitor analysis and share with Head Product so that DBS Cash Management offering is in line with competing banks. Also identify local promotional activities and share the same with Head Product which will help reinforce DBS Cash Management brand. Job Duties & responsibilities Develop and implement customer centric services/products by understanding market dynamics, customer segmentation & mapping competition matrix. Continuously analyze and update competition matrix Continuously interact with other product groups so as to offer cross-sale opportunities to existing base. Control and periodically check operational risks and workflow thereby implement a sound process. Develop & implement Management Information System (MIS) to control and monitor performance of product, operating expenditure & service levels. Manage fee structure, create opportunities for income generation and minimize revenue leakage Experience Good understanding of the product management process through prior cash management experience of at least 4 years and overall experience of at least 8 years Market knowledge and experience of Cash Management business, with reference to customer preferences and requirement would be preferable. An MBA or Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree is preferable, with at least 8 years with banking/product knowledge & at least 4 years specifically in cash management.
