Job Description Responsibilities / Technical skills JD -Global Mainframe Operations Looking for candidates who have 1 to 2 years of experience in Mainframe operations environment and good understanding of mainframe environment, willing to learn new things and flexible to work in straight night shifts. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and should have completed Mainframe System Programming Training. Major Responsibilities are Monitoring & Maintaining LPARs and handling Alerts. Performing Scheduled Outages, IPLs and Day light / Clock Changes. Preparation of ISO compliant documents about the systems and process. Monitoring consoles which includes Production, Quality, Testing and Development. Manage JES spool and diagnose hardware and software problem escalating to the support team. Responding to WTOR’s. System Monitoring and Processing, Requests for Fulfillment. This job requires 1) a high sense of urgency and client oriented or Service Oriented approach towards IT server infrastructure, 2) familiarity with various diverse operating environments, applications and equipment as well as IT Service standards like ISO 20000 and ITIL. The candidate should be willing to work during day and night shifts, and the weekends/holidays, as per our shift schedule, and business requirement. This position requires the candidate to work in 12 hours “day” or “night” shifts (and hence the team members work only for 15 or 16 days in a month). The shift rotates every month from day to night and vice versa. The Shift schedule is prepared based on the business requirement.
