The position involves managing a team of 8-12 members, providing input into the performance management and other administrative tasks. The role requires wide breadth of various VR functions and act as resource in ensuring the client issues are promptly resolved. The position also requires good knowledge in financial markets and functioning of various operational areas within Northern Trust. Ability to develop teams to achieve high standards of quality and provide excellent client servicing through timely and accurate response is required. Knowledge/Skills Demonstrate client servicing capabilities with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Northern Trust products and services and completed 24 months in the current role. Proven Client Service expertise Analytical and problem solving skills, sound business judgment when addressing ambiguous issues. Strong leadership, organizational and people management skills are required to develop periodic goals, to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set. Sound knowledge of financial markets, instruments and various operational functions. Self-motivated with the ability to lead and motivate the team Proactive and capable to handle multiple tasks under extremely time sensitive conditions. Experience of VR audit (preferably integrated audit Global & domestic) is desirable. Hands on experience in handling RMs query and proven client servicing ability. Major Duties Sets partner objectives and conducts the performance management and career development discussions with the partners and ensures succession plans are in place for the key resources. Ongoing management and provision of guidance/coaching to staff fostering an environment encouraging employee participation, team work and engagement. Assigns tasks based on staff competency, organizes the work, set short term priorities, monitors all activity, and ensure timely and accurate completion of work. Complete ownership for all the deliverables being sent out by the team with proper review checks. Provides on-going training for new and experienced staff. Research and resolve problems/issues using in-depth knowledge of accounting operations and processes. Liaising effectively with team members, internal operational groups and client servicing groups to resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner. Build a strong relationship with the client servicing group; provide detailed solution to client inquiries and technical support for any complex reporting/operational issue. Apply knowledge of client needs and business operations to assist with special client requests or any other partner areas. Escalate relevant and critical issues to management and all pertinent partners in a timely and efficient manner. Initiate, support and help to develop process improvements by actively pursuing or creating projects that benefit division/department initiatives. Analytically and procedurally competent, representing the team on cross-function process or project deliverables. Working closely with offshore locations to resolve queries, handling new migrations. Experience Overall industry experience of 6 years (inclusive of 2 years in the current role). Demonstrate through examples/evidence, the above listed core skills and competencies in the current role over a period of at least 24 months and an overall industry experience of 6 years.
