Job TitleSupport Specialist, Application Support Job Purpose The role is part of the team Supporting the BC1/BC2 applications across various business units Problem/Incident Management, Pro-Active/Preventive Maintenance, Change/Release Management, DR/BCP Management, Risk & Compliance. Providing primary / secondary support (including on-call / out-of-office hours support) for applications / incidents as required Resolving incidents and be willing to work across organizational boundaries and structures i.e. horizontally and vertically. Responsibilities Operations Management The role is part of the function Supporting the BC1/BC2 applications across various business units Problem/Incident Management, Pro-Active/Preventive Maintenance, Change/Release Management, DR/BCP Management, Risk & Compliance. Conducting DR drill activity (Switching over primary to DR and fall back) Providing primary / secondary support (including on-call / out-of-office hours support) for applications / incidents as required Resolving incidents and be willing to work across organizational boundaries and structures i.e. horizontally and vertically. Track incidents and provide regular updates to users on request status and progress. Logging, Co-ordination & escalation of issues and incidents – logged in Remedy Appropriately manage/escalate issues within/related to interfaces and applications that would impact any OLA or SLA commitments any delays from upstream applications Problem tickets are appropriately handled and resolved Efficient Trouble shooting log file investigation and extract details for review All monitoring related alerts ad RAG status are appropriately handled. Business Relationship Management Manage the relationship with various stakeholders (including other support teams) Constantly work towards improving the customer satisfaction scores Key Relationships Working in partnership with Business and other TS Support teams (including Incident, Problem, Change management & L3 support teams) Ensure continuity of service and stability to the business and operations team Appropriately communicate and update the senior members / lead in a timely manner – Any actual or potential system outages, Changes to system functionalities, any impact on functionality caused by external factors Support and work with infrastructure and platform teams on OS and infrastructure related initiatives (Patch deployments, Bank/domain wise infra changes and upgrades, Network changes etc.) Qualifications Graduation degree with experience in Information technology. 5 Years of IT experience with atleast 2 in the Banking domain / application support function. Proven skills in co-ordination, automation & problem management Knowledge of all aspects of service delivery, incident & change management. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact with business representatives and ability to be able to represent the team on incident / change calls Good with stakeholder communication and experience in writing change documentation. Good documentation skills to ensure that the knowledge repository is up-to-date.
