Position Purpose Statement The incumbent should have excellent technical background preferably in new products development and having high potential for handling complex projects. He/she should be able to lead projects and troubleshoot problems with technical expertise and relevant experience. Should have good understanding of dry blend technology. The position exists for New Products Development to fuel Category growth and Re-formulation of existing formula to achieve productivity in order to improve margins through break-through ideas, innovation and consumer satisfaction by Development of products and processes capable of consistently producing the intended quality product. Development of Raw Materials and Product specifications in Specs Management System in compliance with Regulatory and Mondelez policies. HACCP and Food Safety documentations. Shelf life study and product stability test. Conducting pilot plant and Plant trials for new product developments and finding QI opportunities for existing products. Work on reformulation and alternate raw materials to find and execute productivity opportunities. Maintaining of brand equity asset Consumer Action Standards maintained. Implementing of new technologies that benefit the company and regional plants. Communication linkage with GITP, plant BD/Process Engineers, Regulatory, PCM, Procurements, Marketing (Brand Managers) and Supply Chain (Plant Departmental Managers and site Quality) colleagues in Philippines, Bahrain, India, Pakistan, Thailand and Egypt (co-man). General Display good behaviour at work and respect organizational values. Inspire trust and promotes healthy atmosphere at work. Must have hands-on experience in food industry preferably in NPD. High degree of self-organisational skills, with attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and operate in an intensive FMCG environment. Good English communication skills both verbal and written & technical report writing. Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities Exploratory Prototyping with advanced agreement with AMEA R&D Lead. Develops preliminary prototypes (products) for a customer. The customer may be internal (eg. Marketing) or external (consumers). Expectations The prototype development should not move into product development without MOR approval Support the technical feasibility input Technically robust prototypes that meet all action standards. Conducts line trials and experiments. Reviews experimental data and technical based hypotheses in making decisions/ recommendations. Demonstrate clear linkage between technical knowledge and application. Assesses technical feasibility. Inputs to business proposition any technical risks. Networking with R&D GITP. Specification Development and documentations- Before commercialization of products, all appropriate documents should be in place and approved. Develop Raw Materials specifications Develop Formula and product specs in Meridian system. Develop Manufacturing Specifications and HACCP documents. Review Design Safety Analysis for new products/concepts. Complete Technical report writing/ R&D Suites. Project Portfolio Management System / PPMS All active projects should be listed in PPMS. All projects should be entered in PPMS as per PDR or as agreed by the department Manager and approved. Man days reporting to be done accurately in PPMS system. Plant Support – Troubleshooting / Efficiency Enhancements and contribute to High Performance Work System( HPWS) Provides technical support to Operations in 2 areas Troubleshooting (short term) Provides timely and accurate technical information and/or testing to resolve operational and/or quality issues Productivity (long term) Develops and communicate supporting technical data and recommendations for increased operational efficiency and capacity while ensuring design criteria (e.g. defined quality) Adhere to Mondelez values and contribute in making the work place a Great Place to Work. Qualifications Technical Requirements The incumbent should be well versed in Project Management Skills Maintaining and improving interfaces to other functions/departments. Scientific approach to problem solving, data collection and data interpretation. Systems to create and manage specifications. Designing process and recipes for Food products preferably Powdered Beverage and should have good understanding of regulatory compliance, HACCP and Food Safety. Identifying main cost drivers for further productivity potential. Experience Significant experience in Research & Development. Should have strong scientific knowledge in Food Product formulations preferably Refreshment Beverages. Food Ingredients Quality systems, Food safety and product stability Process Developments Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required University degree in Food Technology / Engineering. Knowledge of dry mixes / refreshment beverages plus a general understanding of other food related technologies. Good understanding of marketing and consumers preferences. Understanding of food safety aspects (HACCP) Knowledge of local regulatory aspects related to Powdered beverage and food in general Link for schema
