Job Scope This role is responsible for providing Financial support & insight to the Global RDQ organisation, against a budget of ~$370MM expenses & $45MM capex. The role will provide support to the Global RDQ Controller to define the annual budget and targets across the teams, discuss trade-offs and identify opportunities and risks to the plans, lead the financial assessment process supporting the strategic investment decisions to insure resources are deployed behind the projects with the greatest return on investment for MDLZ. This role also operates in a complex matrix environment which involves people from different countries and functions (RDQI Functional leaders, Tax Managers, Legal Managers, Restructuring Team, HR and Accounting/Finance functions in Genpact/Accenture). Job Responsibilities FP&A Ownership and management of the preparation, consolidation and reporting of all RD&Q budget and actual financials globally, including the RD&Q Cost Package. Liaise with site-based R&D leaders to ensure completeness and consistency of all financial processes in line with MLDZ policies and timetables. Direct management of the financial processes for R&D units. Prepare cross-charges across Regions and liaise with global and regional head offices on all RD&Q day-to-day financial matters. Provide analysis and commentary required to support and explain all RD&Q financials. RD&Q Systems Ownership of all RD&Q financial systems. Management of all systems to ensure they are developed and maintained to optimally meet the needs of both RD&Q and the wider business and also that they retain their accuracy, completeness and compliance with MLDZ policy and statutory requirements. Manage all RD&Q FP&A submissions into FiT and CMT in line with MDLZ reporting guidelines and timetables. RD&Q Investments Lead the financial assessment process supporting the strategic investment decisions to ensure that financial, capital and people resources are deployed behind projects with the greatest return on investment for MDLZ considering both the quantitative and qualitative benefits to the broader organization. Manage RD&Q project portfolio including planning and actuals tracking, documentation preparation, approval, benefit realization and policy compliance. Key responsibilities to manage Capex Budget and RDQI Fixed Assets Provide financial support to Global RDQI Leadership in their decision-making process about capital investments and restructuring projects for RDQI locations across the Globe Work closely with planners to build rolling forecasts to feed official forecast cycles Provide monthly/quarterly variance analysis to ensure that actuals are in line with the plan Support RDQI team in terms of preparation &/or review ARs and Restructuring projects in conjunction with category Capex planner, other functions, and manage the relevant approval process Review investment analysis and advise on the project proposal Provide Lease vs. Buy analysis Plan, coordinate and prepare post-evaluation reporting of selected CAPEX and Restructuring projects in accordance to policy Review overall CAPEX requirements and phasing ensuring full alignment with Capex database maintained by engineering group (central / local) Coordinate write-offs/PDR requests within RDQI and support execution of asset transfers between RDQI locations Secure that asset activations are done on time in full and closely work with Manufacturing teams to track RDQI assets Enforce compliance with relevant fixed asset related policies and procedures across the Globe through periodical reviews and trainings Ensure compliancy to policy for ongoing ARs Management People managerial responsibilities to indirect Genpact Noida OVH team Create strong morale and spirit in the team and foster an open dialog; Assign priorities, provide guidance and support; Build/strengthen a good working relationship, cooperation and professional environment within the team; Monitor & ensure Internal Controls/SOX compliance is in place.
