Role Outline The role of AVP Strategic Business Solutions group is based at Citi Analytics and Information Management(AIM) Bangalore Center and reports to the VP leading the team. The key requirement for the role is the ability to work with data, understand the project objectives, undertake analysis to accomplish project objectives and present the results in a coherent manner. The individual will possess the ability to work in teams and display a proactive learning attitude. Job Description Position Title AVP Grade/Level C12 Business Group CSIL-GDM Function/Group AIM Department AIM Location Bangalore Role and Responsibilities Business/Department/Objectives Provide analytic support to the business teams, understand the business context, formulate and execute appropriate analytical approach to address the business situation. Develop/ own comprehensive end to end solutions to address business problems. Drive innovative analytical approaches across the broader team and conceptualize and execute solutions to ambiguous problems. Independently manage end to end partner communication AVP will be leading Business Analytics initiatives in Global Ops Team Core Responsibilities Understand business priorities and work out data driven solutions Deep understanding of Retail bank/Cards/ Operations P&L and financial modeling capabilities Proficient in portfolio and channel ROI analyses Hands-on execution on a variety of projects using conventional analytical techniques, deliver on multiple projects & ability to manage timelines around them Collaborate with colleagues to leverage best practices Ability to handle complex data and generate meaningful business insights End to end project management and coach team members Analytic Project Execution Build effective teams to deliver on business priorities Decompose business priorities into candidate projects. Consult with partners to initiate project aligned to business needs. Manage the project pipeline to ensure prioritization and resourcing. Influence analytic approaches through learnings and insights Establish a structured interaction model with the partners Mentor junior team members to develop their advanced analytics skillsets Communication Effectively communicate strategic considerations with team, partners and senior management Organizational Development Dismantle organizational silos. Drive organizational development initiatives Participate in Periodic Meetings with Manager and Business Partners to share overall status of work, progress, issues Seek synergies in activities across teams and implement value-added enhancements to the way work is executed Make an objective assessment of the performance of the team and identify opportunity areas to enhance performance Qualifications Qualifications (Required) Education Highly numerate, as demonstrated by Masters in a numerate subject such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics from Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates this ability Experience 8 – 12 Years exposure to Financial Services Candidate should have worked in any of the following domain(Credit Cards, Retail bank, Mortgage, Lending / liability product) Skills Analytical Skills Hands-on working with data Proficient in Formulating Analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data Business Impact Analysis Hypothesis testing, Knowledge of Segmentation Basic Knowledge of predictive modeling Simple Optimization Tools and Platforms Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint Proficient in SAS, SQL, SAS JMP Domain Skills In depth understanding of Customer lifecycle Management within the financial services domain ( Cards, Retail bank, Mortgage, Lending / liability product) Understanding of operations functions like call center and collections analytics is preferred Soft Skills Build high performance teams Lateral thinking Act as a Change leader Coaching and Mentoring team members Interviewing skills and precision questioning Strategic Ability Critical thinking Working with Ambiguity Strong project management skills
