Represent the site with the Site Leader and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist in order to ensure that the unique needs of the site are understood and incorporated into the Hub EH&S Program. Provide leadership and hands-on presence to ensure a safe, secure and compliant workplace across the site, delivering outstanding EH&S performance and sustaining the License to Operate. Work in close partnership with Site Leadership and EH&S Specialist to ensure all work processes and resources are in place, properly utilized and aligned to achieve excellent EH&S performance. Partner with Site Leadership and EH&S Specialist and to ensure appropriate, consistent implementation and maintenance of EH&S work processes, best practices and most effective technologies; coordinate and align priorities and initiatives; audit the effectiveness of work processes and implementation; analyze performance data for trends and identify opportunities for improvement across the site. Provides hands-on Environmental, Industrial Hygiene (IH), Health, Safety and Process Safety support for the site. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Duties/Responsibilities PERCENT Of Time Planning Align personal EH&S objectives with functional and site strategies and priorities. Collaborate closely with the Site Leader / EHS Specialist to ensure plans are well communicated and supported. Assist Site Leader / EHS Specialist with providing environmental, IH, health, safety, process safety/containment, motor vehicle support and expertise to the site in a manner that is compatible with local issues and culture. Measure functional performance against goals, site expectations and work with Site Leader / EHS Specialist to develop improvement plans. 5 Work Process / Improvement Implements / supports detailed, task level, hands-on, day to day EH&S programs, utilizing the EH&S work processes, standards and procedures. Acts as the site contact and focal point for EH&S disciplines (environmental, IH, health, safety, process safety/containment, and motor vehicle, etc.). Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S related tasks / activities and acts as the area resource for related EH&S information on procedures, guidelines and standards. Analyzes and evaluates site EH&S performance to identify and implement opportunities for improvement. Supports site compliance with Corporate EH&S Standards and Governmental Regulatory Requirements. Supports and monitors site self-assessment, audit, and regulatory compliance corrective action completion & validation. Supports site Process Safety and Containment work process implementation. Ensures all appropriate IH programs, monitoring and health surveillance requirements are met. Supports site investigations of incidents, root cause analysis and follow-up action completion to prevent event re-occurrence. Supports contractors with site EHS standards compliance. Assist site responses to EH&S / Emergency Response & Security (ER&S) issues and crises (in concert with ER&S Team) that affect the site. Implement, utilize, maintain and promote EH&S Operating Disciple Management System (ODMS). Performs the role of Site Section Owner for the environmental section of ODMS. Ensures minimization of local customization of EH&S / ER&S management systems whenever possible and supports management system reviews in order to drive continuous improvement. Supports cost-effective delivery of EH&S and ER&S systems. Supports delivery of required EH&S training. Supports and provides data for EH&S audits / assessments. Collects, analyzes, calculates and inputs data for EH&S reporting as necessary. Performs field observations and safety interventions. Completes documentation and facilitates waste characterizations. Monitors EH&S compliance tasks completion. Initiates and/or supports Site Management of Change (MoC) for EH&S matters as necessary. Links to EHS Specialist / EH&S CoE to obtain clear interpretations on site-specific regulatory processes, regulations, laws and associated procedures. As required, participates in the environmental, IH, health, and safety related reviews and project support. Coordinates the schedules for EH&S assessments / audits. Aligns with Information Technology (IT) initiatives, updates, cyber security processes and tools. 40 Networks Participate with and support Site Teams in order to drive EHS improvement and facilitate change. 5 Site Functional Responsibilities As indicated by Site Leadership 50 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE Requirement for EHS Responsibilities Associate or Technology degree (2/3 yrs) in an applicable discipline is required; Professional certification where applicable 2 years of relevant industry experience, knowledge and skills in a manufacturing / industrial / R&D environment English language skills are beneficial Knowledge, skill, and abilities Working knowledge of all EH&S work processes, in addition to site operations and processes Aware of all regulatory, permit, and company requirements for the region, including audit requirements Aware of ER&S work processes Self-motivated independent thinker and performer Ability to manage multiple projects and to set individual priorities Works methodically and meets required deadlines Well organized with an ability to work without supervision Capable consultation, facilitation, and influencing skills Excellent inter-personal relationship skills to all levels at the site Demonstrated open and clear communications and processes for issue resolution Excellent local language verbal and written communication skills Excellent training and presentation skills Ability to analyze technical writing and regulations Broad experience with computers including word processing, spreadsheets, database and training/presentation software Job Qualifications About DowDuPont DowDuPont (NYSE DWDP) is a holding company comprised of The Dow Chemical Company and DuPont with the intent to form strong, independent, publicly traded companies in agriculture, materials science and specialty products sectors that will lead their respective industries through productive, science-based innovation to meet the needs of customers and help solve global challenges.
