Essential Job Functions Provides advice and counsel to business unit management and employees on a broad range of human resources issues and decisions within an area of specialization. Identifies, analyzes and recommends solutions on a wide variety of issues including but not limited to increasing job productivity, job efficiency, providing counsel on company policies and procedures, investigations of violations of company policies and overall employee satisfaction. Assists in assessing organizational needs to provide diagnosis and recommendation of interventions for change management. Participates in managing organizational change. Implements workforce plans. Assists in identifying vendors and external consultant solutions. Analyzes and determines feasibility of use through cost/benefit analysis. Keeps abreast of current developments in the organizational development field. Researches and evaluates new organizational development technologies, methodologies and concepts. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources or related field preferred Six or more years of human resources, organizational development experience Experience working with human resources principles, practices and procedures Experience working with human resources laws and regulations Experience working with key financial indicators of the unit and organization Experience working with organizational behavior, group dynamics, team interventions, organization and job design Other Qualifications Consulting skills and the ability to work with all levels of management Assessment skills for both individual and organizations Strong interpersonal skills for working with all employee levels within the organization Strong negotiation skills for communicating and resolving conflict Comprehension skills for understanding needs and concerns and developing and applying solutions Organization and time management skills Strong communication skills Complex analytical skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information Ability to work collaboratively across divisions, functions and levels Ability and desire to actively pursue learning opportunities employee/organizational development and training fields Ability to understand and apply federal, state and local changes to and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to human resources Willingness to travel Work Environment Office environment
