Maintaining reliable, high performance and redundant infrastructure services is critical to the success of Cvent. We are looking for high caliber engineer with ability to think and work independently, take ownership and responsibility of high growth infrastructure to ensure the overall stability of production site(s). Position Duties Provide support in triaging and finding root cause for incident remediation. Manage incident, change & problem management following ITIL principles. Timely escalate, involve and work with various engineering teams and stakeholders. Develop application/business understanding to support mission critical products & work on monitoring tools to define thresholds and action on alerts and metrics. Carry out trending & analysis using various SAAS monitoring tools, suggest and assist site & systems engineering and development to take corrective action. Review processes and recommend changes to improve the overall effectiveness / efficiencies. Provide weekly / monthly reporting on cases and services calls if requested. Define scope of event correlation, consolidate various event/alert streams. Demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to use them in heterogeneous environment. Automate mundane run books to efficiently support production applications & servers Patch Management and scheduling. Work under SLA/SLO, help manage expectations organization wide within IT & development & Product teams & external vendors. Follow release management, deploy feature and bug fixes , ensure production is stable, follow up on new code releases & work with Development & Quality Engineering Able to think & strategize independently in high pressure & rewarding environment Respond to alarms with well-defined procedures & drive efficiency Escalate problems to the appropriate internal or external resource and follow up to resolution Helping your coworkers by detailed knowledge sharing and suggestions for continual improvement Assist different internal teams as requested on project or support tasks Work with Network Engineering and ISPs to isolate Cvent site location network problems ( LAN/WAN ) Documents known issues, best practices, remediation procedures, write run books for other team members. Understand the importance of high availability, resilience and customer impact. Ability to work and manage high impact production outages, working with various stakeholders (technical & business leadership) Candidate Requirements Bachelors degree in CS/IT certifications are preferred. Automation/scripting in any of the two (Python, Shell, Perl, JavaScript, Ruby) & demonstrate coding skills in interview Strong competency in Windows and Linux operating systems Experience with AWS technologies such as EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, LB and EBS Interested in, and demonstrated experience of, common technologies — such as VMWare, Chef, Nginx, IIS, Git, RabbitMQ, Couchbase, MSSQL, DNS, DHCP. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, project management skills are plus. Hands-on experience in different monitoring tools and technologies such as SNMP, Nagios, Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch and New Relic Experienced knowledge of LAN and WAN networks, TCPIP, DNS, DHCP and HTTP. Positive attitude, strong problem-solving aptitude, and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly. Working experience on ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow etc. Excellent understanding of Layer 2/3/4/7 & IPSec/VPN. Proven experience of working on load balancers (BigIP F5, ELB) Required Experience 5-8 years relevant experience in NOC, operations, SRE, or DevOps roles supporting applications and infrastructure systems Working days 5 working days with 2 days fixed week-offs Flexible to work on weekends/Holidays No night shifts Skills & Requirements Qualifications
