Process Overview GMSO Risk and Control Global COE team is part of the Global Markets Shared Operations department and is also aligned to the Global Operations Risk and Control group. The group is responsible for Providing quality assurance around operations key control processes Providing an independent assessment of control and risk issues for senior management Working with operations line management to strengthen the control environment and improve control processes Investigation of Operations risk events and reporting on Enterprise wide platforms Embedding a risk awareness culture across GMSO. Working in Conjunction with operations to Support and Drive Spreadsheet controls for NFRR and GMO Business Service. Job Responsibilities GMSO Operations Risk & Control (ORC) team is a very dynamic and evolving function with a significant transformational element. Developing Test Strategies and Devising test plans for different phases of testing. Manages Risk Act in accordance with the letter and spirit of all applicable laws, rules and regulations, the companys code of conduct, risk framework, risk appetite statement and other relevant policies, standards, procedures and guidance. Handling external audits and regulatory audits coordination with local and global stakeholders Operations Risk Event & Governance – Ensure timely investigation of all potential Operations Risk Issues/Control Gaps identified by respective business alignments. Leverages subject matter expertise and an understanding of the business to advise others Gap Management- Track and monitor the closure of all open self- identified or audit identified issues to ensure qualitative and timely remediation. Risk Assessments- Conduct independent risk assessments to evaluate the design level effectiveness of internal control processes within GMSO function Stakeholder Management – Understands the importance of relationships; proactively builds, maintains, and uses key relationships to build trust/credibility and promote objectives. Demonstrates long-term commitment to business success by offering alternative points of view and challenging assumptions with constructive input, when appropriate Demonstrates Initiative – Be proactive in identifying, escalating and debating thematic risks issues. Experience in developing test strategies and devising test plans for different phases of testing is critical Strong collaboration and relationship management skills.
