This will enable you to build strong relationships with various stakeholders and clients, whilst enhancing your knowledge of Caterpillar’s products, technologies and processes. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to * Provide client-facing support on IT solutions * Lead the issue resolution process with globally located Caterpillar IT support teams and external partners * Share functional knowledge of IT solutions with business partners to support their operational performance * Collect and document functional requirements for new projects or system enhancements * Lead IT implementation projects coordinate the delivery of work requests with various globally located Caterpillar IT teams and external partners * Prepare, execute and/or coordinate the execution of the Product Testing and the System Integration Testing * Provide IT support during the User Acceptance Testing * Create and maintain system documentation * Create and maintain local IT support processes * Will work in an international environment Role The Glovia Systems Support Analyst supports, advises and assists in implementation of all Glovia application related items that are directly related to enterprise Resource Planning (eg Glovia, Interfaces, access etc). This role is to monitor the systems and provide proactive support measures as needed to re-establish services following an outage. He/She also offers advice and expertise when new or replacement systems are being considered, as well as advice on the business flow processes, he/she also provides development and coding to suit the requirements of the business. He/She coordinates all IT related activities that potentially impact the ERP systems, and represents IT as an ambassador and provides a Single Point of Contact. Responsibilities The Glovia Systems Analyst function is a key, core and central role that is deeply involved in Glovia Super Layer programming De-bugging Process improvement/development Business knowledge advice to the BU partners Miscellaneous Scheduling of process updates using Tidal Development and maintenance of interfaces to other applications This individuals responsibilities are to maintain and support all the above systems, and any additional Production related systems to the required business requirements. Support and upgrades will be performed in a professional way, with agreement by the Customer on all outage windows. In addition support for the following initiatives and processes will be required. Key business unit/customer segment initiatives (Subject to any Moratorium) Key corporate initiatives Key 6 Sigma initiatives that potentially impact the Factory infrastructure Key technology drivers related to infrastructure and associated technology Key changes in CITA Standards that potentially influences the Production Environment Key and required new technology deployments Support for key business growth. Alignment to Enterprise/GIS strategy (CSF/SAI) This individual will Accountable for the creation and maintenance of Current and Desired State documentation. Facilitates planning sessions with key business customers Initiate, participate, & communicate proactive GIS IT Service Delivery projects. Will work with the Regional Process Supervisor (RPS), to understand, plan and execute enterprise level initiatives, as well as provide appropriate feedback. In conjunction with the RPS, participate to the regular regional face-to-face meeting, updating the sponsors on the plan, targets, areas of concern and metrics. Required Skills In this role, the individual should have the following skills Expertise in Super Layer programming Excellent understanding of key business processes and their inter-dependencies. Excellent inter-personal skills this role is of delegate/ambassador quality, requiring diplomacy and high levels of Customer focus. Be a good listener and note taker. Be able to orchestrate and mediate in difficult, complex and politically sensitive discussions and remain neutral/non biased, focused on the problem statements and use six sigma methodology to develop facts and data based decisions. Good written and oral communication and presentation skills. Excellent project management skills. Have or develop a broad understanding of Caterpillars business Have or develop a detailed understanding of Caterpillars IT infrastructure and solutions, diverse IT groups and nurture excellent relationships with his/her peers in GIS and core competency centres.
