Skill: workforce , communication , decision making , policies , interpersonal skills , learning , communication skills , presentation skills; Exp: 2-5 years; This role is based in Bangalore Securities Lending Entitlements team. The team provides operational support to Northern Trusts clients in terms of their Manufactured Income and Corporate Action requirements for their shares on loan in all markets in which Northern Trust operates and supports Northern Trusts agency lending program, Client Directed Lending arrangements and Third Party lending activities. The position is responsible for ensuring that manufactured Income and Corporate Action proceeds of clients of Northern Securities Lending program are collected / reconciled in timely manner. The primary responsibility of this Senior Analyst is to provide subject matter expertise and help a team of Analysts and support other Senior Analysts in SL NOS Entitlements team with claims & exceptions management. The Senior Analyst will report to the Securities Lending Team Leader and assist TCs with enhancing the team knowledge levels, expertise and maximising the effectiveness of the team. The role requires close relationship with external counterparts such as sub-custodians and borrowers and many Securities Lending areas like including Trading Desk, Account Managers and other operations teams across locations. It also involves close liaison with other internal partner areas such as Custody Income and Tax, Control, Global reconciliation team. Overall Knowledge Comprehensive understanding of the Securities Lending business. Should have general awareness of market wide risk and compliance policies such as AML Information Security, BCP etc. Ability to understand & comprehend risks associated with the Securities Lending domain and the implications on operations. Comprehensive understanding of the Asset Servicing Practice and its effect on the Financial Service Industry. Ability to adapt quickly to new situations and initiatives Knowledge on systems used such as Fundmaster, IMS, TLM, SWIFT, GSL, WCM, Intranet reporting, etc. would be an advantage. Financial knowledge on International and domestic markets would be an advantage. End to End understanding of Securities Lending is preferred/added advantage. Major Duties Should be able to understand organizational & divisional goals, strategies and should be able to help connect to the teams performance in achieving the same Ensure that the SLA / KPIs are being adhered and reported in a timely manner Timely updating of process related documentation Responsible for allocation of work to the team and other day-to-day process related responsibilities Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work Maintain technical knowledge of operations in order to resolve unusual and complex problems. The role demands working with borrowers, agents, tri-party custodian, trading desk, middle office and support teams to resolve complex issues and ensure timely resolution within available timeframe Timely resolution to ERM/ Email queries Work with the Technical Coordinator/Team Leader to test internal controls not only within Entitlement and report accordingly Adhere to the existing controls and continuous review of the process to implement new controls to mitigate risk. Should be in a position to maintain extremely high accuracy levels for the self/team. Displays extremely high ownership for the process. Steps up and makes effective decisions wherever and whenever required.
