The role holder will work within Logistics with little to no supervision and is responsible for scheduling work ensuring work requests are completed to comply with agreed Service Levels. The role holder will have specialist skills and knowledge and will lead and motivate the team ensuring that operations runs smoothly. Key Accountabilities Process Provides input to the analysis of the processes and operation to provide support to the manager, driving efficiency initiatives to improve service. Scheduling & Automation. Schedules more complex aspects of the workload checking schedules and managing other ad-hoc work. Keeps schedules and documentation up to date and accurate to maintain service levels. Undertakes development of operational utilities and ad-hoc projects to meet Service Levels. Problem Solving. Records job changes and work requests through problem management systems ensuring effective change control. Deals with escalations from the team obtaining information required to diagnose and resolve a variety of problems. Analyzes statistics and initiates action when necessary to improve system availability. Health and Safety. Establishes and reviews procedures for own area of responsibility ensuring that department is conformant to external and internal standards, Carries out safety reviews, and recommends changes, to ensure site standards are maintained. Training. Develops and implements training needs analysis to ensure the development of required skills for the team. May train other staff. Professional Development.
