Remote Control Support Engineer- Males Only

 

Designation: Desktop support engineer/Console technician (IT)

Job Description:

  1. a) Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and

internal desktop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures and

troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in a

heterogeneous environment.

  1. b) Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop

environment

  1. c) Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical

personnel. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions

and upgrades.

May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.

May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users

about basic and specialized applications

May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional

Services and outsourcing functions. May include  company-wide, Web-enabled

solutions.

Remote Support Engineer is responsible for the remote deployment of apps –

technical delivery, support and management of desktop and laptop computers, PDAs,

printers, video conferencing facilities and application services where necessary.

Job Role:

Provide second remote level support to end users .

Provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone, web based tools and email.

Advise customers regarding the Thomson Reuters desktop, applications and address

specific user issues.

Responsible for taking service requests or incident tickets from the helpdesk and look

after these request through to closure.

Ensures that proper notification or advice related to the problem is provided to the

helpdesk or the end-user.

During problem escalations, act as a liaison between customers and Tier 3 support.

 

Skill:

 

  1. Operating system knowledge.
  2. Desktop Support knowledge is a must
  3. Remote Access experience is a must ( Log me in, AMYY, Team Viewer)
  4. Good communication in English.

 

Eligibility:

 

  1. Microsoft certified required.
  2. Minimum 1.5 year experience.
  3. Candidate must be flexible with Rotational shift
