NetApp SnapCenter software provides a simple, centralized, scalable, end-to-end data protection and in-place copy data management solution for enterprise data on the premises or in a hybrid cloud. SnapCenter leverages NetApp Snapshot, SnapRestore, FlexClone, SnapMirror, and SnapVault technologies to provide fast, space-efficient, application-consistent, disk-based backups; rapid, granular restore and application-consistent recovery; and quick, space-efficient cloning. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, driven to produce results and demonstrates the ability to take a cross-team leadership role. Essential Functions – Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems – Writing project specifications and release documentation and/or all phases of the product development cycle from product definition and design, through implementation including – Testing and/or Unit Testing – Designing – Strong automation background, with preferably programing knowledge (C or C#) or scripting knowledge. Preferably having storage background Preferably having Application knowledge (SQL, Oracle, HANA) Preferably having Data protection background. – Debugging – Reliability – Performance analysis – Critical and/or high visibility customer support – Deliver resilient, robust and durable designs – Willing to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals – Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers Education Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 3 years and a Masters degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
