Were reimagining how people and things move from one place to the next. About the Role You are the chief strategist for our new processes and workflows in Global Scaled Solutions (GSS) teams. You will use your understanding of product and team priorities, prowess in data/analysis, and ability to build relationships and connect dots across various processes to drive the direction for the team and incubate new programs. This includes, but is not limited to, developing playbooks for scaled operations, designing a new program, working with engineering and product to increase efficiency as well as designing the right ops strategy for new processes that enable tech. This role is based in Palo Alto or San Francisco. What Youll Do Work with Eng and Product stakeholders to scope, test and launch new workflows Work with stakeholders in building proof of concept processes (including doing needed analysis and/or experiments), building SOPs (standard operating procedures) and training materials, and executing to measure success before transitioning to teams that will scale the process Build the strategy to incubate and scale ops workflows that enable tech Identify the right tooling, process and operating model for new processes Coordinate with other program teams and tech stakeholders on deliverable deadlines, progress and scheduling Quick triage of bugs and feature requests with the engineers who built them Build dashboards, set KPIs, measure progress against goals, and broadcast reports to the stakeholders Once the proof of concept is tested and signed off by stakeholders, transition the operations to the scaled operations team in GSS What Youll Need Minimum of 5 years of program management or technical program management or ops experience Business or Tech background Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, challenges and risks Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence. Ability to influence and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships. Strong organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items. Analytical and truth seeking. Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions objectively. About the team The mission of the team is to design, incubate and deploy solutions that use ground truth & human judgement to scale Uber’s best ideas globally. In India, the team is spread out over Hyderabad and Bangalore and supports over 10 different workflows spread across the 3 verticals of Map Editing, Labelling & Classification, and Data validation & curation. We drive end to end operations strategy and manage large scale ops programs for various teams within the Tech organization.
