Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Associate, to work on a project understanding formation of singularity in fluid dynamics, but in a rigorous sense; under the supervision of Professor Nader Masmoudi at New York University, Abu Dhabi (NYUAD).
Many techniques have been developed to study the formation of singularity of various problems arising in physics and differential geometry. The use of dynamical system techniques also have helped understand the long time dynamics of many PDEs.
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, or a related discipline. Applicants with a strong background in partial differential equations (PDE), functional analysis, and more precisely have research experience in fluid models and blow-up for PDEs will be a valuable asset for consideration.
The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children. Applications are accepted immediately and candidates will be considered until the position is filled. To be considered, all applicants must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, transcript of degree, a one-page summary of research accomplishments and interests, and at least 2 letters of recommendation, all in PDF format. If you have any questions, please email: email@example.com.
