In one sentence The PMO professional provides a formal, centralized layer of project control and integration in the unit/account program and serves as a trusted advisor to the program/project manager/service partner. The PMO assumes both execution responsibilities of specific project management areas, as well as project and program management governance support responsibilities. What will your job look like? The role has wide boundaries and the person is expected to get involved in analysis and program management to solve complex business problems at India level. Based on the current work the selected person is expected to contribute in the following areas. Help build and drive India level strategy Set up and enhance internal business processes across multiple functions. Institute best practices from various programs and drive synergies Project Management of special projects in multi-disciplinary functional areas like compliance, BCP, Employee engagement, efficiency drives etc.. Prepare/ participate/facilitate senior management meetings to discuss the program progress being carried out by different teams. Ensure proactive traction of the actions from these meetings. Collate and analyze the data to identify gaps/patterns. Create concise and crisp management reports of the program Plan / facilitate customer and senior management visits Design and maintain dashboards of programs, Creating Executive/board presentations for the leaders; Help design and conduct off sites for senior leaders. Identify, track, resolve and escalate issues in time Keep a sharp eye on the trends that are happening in the Industry and update Amdocs leaders around the same. Help India head with market research, presentation/talking points when he participates in Industry forums / Media interactions etc.. All you need is… MBA from a top business school like IIMs/XLRI with at least 6 to 8 years of experience. Competencies needed Candidates should have a multidisciplinary approach Ability to work with senior leaders Must be extremely strong in program management Should be able to work in ambiguous environment and in influencer type of roles.
