This role is within the Payments Engineering group in Bangalore. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and ETL tools Abinitio, Informatica, Data Stage. Informatica Preferred. Performance tuning of complex workflows employing techniques of parameterization, caching, partitioning etc. Working knowledge on Informatica Integration service. Load balancing on distributed Informatica grid. ETL alerts and auditing. Work with stakeholders including the management, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Participate in establishing best practices and implement process improvements. Code organization and version control. Maintain specifications and metadata; follow and develop best practices. Mentor junior ETL developers Prepare and review operational reports. Assist in the daily operations of the Architecture Team (a functional unit within the Business Intelligence Group), analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines. Continued growth as a technical expert in data integration technologies and solutions.
