We are OpsTechIT Centralized Support Services team and we build, implement and support networks. We have immediate openings for Network Support Engineer – I roles at our Global Delivery Center located in Bangalore, India. We are a global team and we operate globally. If you are interested in a challenging position with a great company, the Network Support Engineer – I position might be for you. As a Network Support Engineer – I, you will join a team of Engineers that are motivated to deliver best in class customer experience within a fast paced and complex environment. As a member of this team you will serve as a top level escalation point for Network issues that impact our Fulfillment Centers and also help build world-class Network infrastructure. Responsibilities As a Network Support Engineer – I working within OpsTechIT L3 Networks you will Provide top level escalation support for Wired and Wireless network issues and resolve our customer issues expeditiously Own and implement Network projects in support of Innovation, customer needs and life cycle management, globally for all Fulfillment Centers Support new site build activities with Wired and Wireless network infrastructure setup Continually innovate and simplify network services to our customers. Build scalable and supportable networks Deep dive and root cause the issues and leverage the knowledge gained to proactively remediate the potential issues Build incremental automation to automate various deployment tasks, workflow and audit tasks Drive scaling of current network designs to meet the increasing demand of our customers Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards Create and implement changes on the network in accordance with established processes and policies Ideal candidates should have an excellent understanding of Network infrastructure and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technologies. Is highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and time management skills, and has a successful track record of designing simple, scalable solutions and troubleshooting complex network problems. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential. Must have high level of ownership and leadership skills. Must be highly obsessed and customer experience. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required Candidates should have 2 years industry experience in a similar environment Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols Ability to perform Root cause analysis in problem solving Ability to independently resolve incidents and execute change requests by abiding SLAs Assist with process development and improvement to include technical documentation Experience writing, modifying and updating Python/Perl scripts In-depth knowledge of and experience with Internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF; and IPSec and Firewall security Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills Ability to interact professionally & efficiently with peers and customers is required Willingness to work flexible shifts and scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays Work Hard, Have Fun, and join us in making worldwide history PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models Experience in troubleshooting routing, switching and security infrastructure Experience in troubleshooting layer 1, 2 and 3 network problems Experience in working with customers to diagnose a problem, and work toward resolution Basic understanding of the UNIX/LINUX operating environments with the ability to manipulate files/permissions and troubleshoot basic command-line utilities Needs to be a highly motivated to learn and adapt to changes Needs to have strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask effectively Strong logical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt as new information becomes available Ability to operate efficiently under pressure Experience with, and expertise in many of the following protocols & technologies DHCP, DNS, OSI Model, DWDM, 802.2/3, 802.1d VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF Experience with multi-vendor platforms is preferred Relevant industry certification such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWNP is preferred Job details Bangalore, India Operations, IT, and Support Engineering
