There is a vacancy in the New Delhi office for professional with OG&C experience as Mechanical Rotating Equipment (API & Non- API Centrifugal Pumps/Rotary & Reciprocating Pumps/ Air Compressors/ Fans & Blowers, Dosing Packages/ Fire Water Pumps/ Pneumatic Pumps etc.) Engineer, qualified to degree level. A minimum of Eight years industrial experience is required for this position. Candidate should have held a mid-level position (Responsible Engineer) in the Engineering team for execution of Basic/Conceptual Engineering, FEED, EPCM, EPC modes of execution for Indian / International projects. The Mechanical Engineer will report to the AL/GL/APE/PEM and duties will include the following Plan and conduct independent work carried out with sound engineering practices and of desired quality within schedule and cost. Review of Process package for completeness of Process and Mechanical related data. Review of PFDs, PIDs, MSDs, Process Calculations and Data Sheets for Pumps and Compressors, Packages and commenting/review on the same for completeness. Develop technical specifications for Equipment/Package. Review of specifications from Licensor / Client / PMC. Participating in IDC process. Interaction with Engineering disciplines, Clients / PMC, Bidders / Vendors. Preparation of Mechanical Datasheets, MRQs, Review of Quotes, analyzing deviations, raising of TQs, TBEs, MRPs. Review of VPs. Interact with Global offices, execute work on workshare mode. Support project/proposal activities. Participating in Value Engineering, design and cost optimization. Coordinate technical issues with other departments on projects including technical and constructability reviews. Develop standard documentation for use on projects. Implement/Capture Lesson Learnt. Resolving Vendor/Site queries. Interaction with Inspection Agencies, Expeditors, other agencies for delivery of Equipment/Packages. Providing Inputs/Review for Progress reporting. Supporting the project through construction and commissioning phases. Travel to support activities at other engineering offices, suppliers works, construction sites. Engineering for working on EPC/EPCM, FEED and other modes of project execution. Specific capabilities required for the role include experience in Detail engineering for Rotating Equipment and related packages for Refinery, LNG, Petrochemical Process Units, Off-sites and Utilities. Proper selection of rotating equipment and auxiliaries as per the process conditions and specific project requirements. Knowledge of different Process Licenser specific design requirements and construction features. Sound Knowledge in governing codes and standards like API 610, API 682, API 685, API 674, API 675, API 676, API 614, API 671, API 673, ANSI B 73.1, NFPA 20, HI Standards etc, commensurate to experience years. Prior experience in handling Centrifugal Gas Compressors, Reciprocating and Screw Gas Compressors, Drive turbines and packages like refrigeration package, nitrogen generation package, flare package, water treatment packages etc. will be an added advantage. Understanding of Inspection requirements. Review of shop and site test procedures and analysis reports. Understand various types of materials to be used for different services and review of vendor proposed materials. Knowledge of other industry / regulatory codes and standards like ANSI, ISO, BS, BIS, IS, ASME, OISD, Licensor & Client specifications etc. Familiarity with model reviews and Hazop sessions and use of SPR is desirable. Knowledge of engineering work planning and schedules, related construction practices and inspection and testing requirements for various rotating equipment. Knowledge of Suppliers capabilities. Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stake holders. Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing large projects. Education required (minimum) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities. Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language. Candidate to mention their experience in Refinery/Petrochemical units, Off-sites and Utilities, LNG indicating details of Equipment/Packages dealt with and extent of Engineering/involvement by self.
