Candidate should have thorough understanding and work experience with local area networks, which link computers in a single building, and wide area networks, which link buildings together so information can flow between locations. Candidate should establish practices for monitoring a network, along with performance metrics and service levels that meet the business’s needs. Assist in the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemas, DNS, Ether-Channel (Bonding), etc. Configuring and installing client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network systems. Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives. Effectively plans and organizes own workload. Happy to challenge existing processes and procedures Implementation of setup for Exchange & DP Infrastructure specialist with overall understanding of Broking and DP connectivity Co-ordination and managing Operations with NSE/BSE and NSDL/CDSL for Infrastructure audit and compliance Network DR Setup Job Duties & Key Responsibilities * Duties and Responsibilities – Network Management Candidate is responsible to introduces applications to create a map of the entire network and to diagram the hardware used in the topology of the design. Network management applications provide status information that show the health of the network and events such as outages or other problems. The network managers team uses this technology as part of an operations center to monitor and manage network services around the clock. Candidate will be responsible for managing SLAs, Capacity management, Organize and priorities workload and lead internal projects to improve service. Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, BGP, load balancing etc.). Design, setup and configure complex switching and routing environments and should be well conversant in configuring Switches, Routers, NG Firewalls, setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications. Candidate should able to analyze problems, issues & needs and provide robust but adaptable solutions which meet current and future requirements Vendor Management Candidate is responsible to review vendor services and determines the best fit for companys network services needs. Must evaluate each vendors capability based on current company networks and locations, and projected requirements later. Candidate is responsible to manages the vendors’ services and SLAs for any network related issues. Team Management – Network operations teams are made up of engineers and technical administrators. Candidate has to work with the Service Provider/HR department to recruit new employees and to assess and develop current employees. Candidate sees to it that each new employee is successfully brought on board to understand company and department processes. For existing team members, candidate helps to develop career and training plans that can keep expertise in line with evolving technologies. Ensuring the right environment is in place so that staff are effectively mentored, developed and trained. Develop and own the processes and procedures used by the team, based on best practice for the industry. Develop documentation related to the departments work processes which is up to date and accurately reflects the day to day running of the team. Team player, who contributes ideas and suggestions for improvement. This collaboration allows the candidate to understand service requirements and to design performance metrics that reflect the needs of the company. When performance metrics show that the network is under performing, the candidate is responsible for taking action to make sure his team continues to meet the demands of all of the company’s user. To act as an escalation point for end user network related problems and questions via telephone, e-mail and face to face. To be escalation contact for service issues, out of hours to provide technical assistance and support. Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required Significant proven experience in comparable role Previous extensive experience of building and developing a technical team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good understanding of Unix & Windows Operating Systems will be a plus Knowledge of Video Conferencing implementation and support Maintain network security through proper configuration of devices Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a small business environment Availability in response to needs of the customer for installation, maintenance and equipment Good trouble shooting skills The ability to handle objections and resistance to change. Ability to cope with changing environment including adapting to meet emergency business critical events Strong Knowledge and work experience of NSE/BSE and NSDL/CDSL for Infrastructure audit and compliance Self-motivated Experience of ITIL is desirable Experience of ISO27001 is desirable Certified CCNA, CCNP, ITIL is desirable Minimum 6 Year of work experience with Graduation
