Our team provides extensive experience in planning and implementing Corporate Transactions including Merger & Acquisition deals and Divestures. We deliver analytic approaches that allow senior management to effectively deal with challenges such as generating growth, managing a portfolio of assets, forming a world-class finance organization, understanding risk, and responding to the way capital markets assess companies today. Taking swift action in turning around and restructuring a business for long-term survival is also part of our offering. BCGs Corporate Development practice (CD) is seeking to recruit a (Senior) Knowledge Analyst (S) KA for its Corporate Transactions topic team. The topic team covers all aspects of Corporate Finance and Transaction issues ranging all the way from buy and sell-side M&A processes, IPOs and activist defense to Corporate Venture Capital and Joint Ventures. Candidates should have experience or knowledge in financial modelling and analyses such as profitability, capital structure, liquidity, and cash flow performance etc. The SKA will be participating in quantifying and articulating the value of an asset from a strategic perspective for transaction, financing, and other purposes. This includes generating relative valuation benchmarks, performing discounted cash-flow calculations, and validating valuation approaches prepared by others. The SKA is also expected to be familiar with in-depth financial benchmarking analyses of an asset relative to comparable industry peers to be used in pitch books and industry landscaping decks. Providing details on deal flows, buyer and seller analyses, as well as general capital market overviews from a corporate finance and transactions perspective for an internal audience is a key part of the job. Furthermore, the SKA will be asked to help coach individual consultants or entire teams to get up to speed on corporate finance, valuation and accounting issues and act as internal contact for people seeking corporate finance and transaction-specific data. The SKA will play an important part in contributing to internal knowledge building in form of in-house projects and will assist topic leaders in writing articles and conference presentations and preparing reports covering the M&A topic in general or dealing with industry-specific aspects in particular. Over time, the (S)KA would also be expected to build up specialized expertise to become known as a regional expert in the firm (with some flexibility on the exact sub-segments of specialization). This is a unique opportunity to have an impact on the way this topic expands internally and how BCG positions itself as a thought partner, at a crucial time for capital markets and major industry players. It is also an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the Corporate Transactions priority topic within the firm, and to work on some of the most crucial issues corporate clients and financial investors are facing today.
