In this role, you will be responsible for the ingestion, maintenance, improvement, cleaning and manipulation of data in operational and analytics databases including troubleshooting of existent issues. Here are some specifics We are looking for Hadoop Developers who will focus on Big Data development within an existing development team supporting Data and Analytics Platform Information Management and Solution Delivery The role requires experience working with Hadoop ecosystems and related big data technologies, implementing, troubleshooting and optimizing distributed solutions based on modern big data technologies like Hive, Hadoop, Impala, etc Also the developer should have working experience in any ETL tool (preferably) Talend to design, develop validate and deploy the Talend ETL processes using Talend data integration and data quality tools What you will need to succeed BE/BTech degree in Computer Science or equivalent Professionally Certified Hadoop Developer Required Skills 4 to 5 years working experience as Hadoop Developer 2 years experience using Talend tool to load, unload data from Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Sqoop). Should have working experience using Hadoop technologies (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Map Reduce, Pig, Yarn ) Should have working experience with Hadoop data ingestion, data processing and data modelling process Should able to Design, develop, validate and deploy the Talend ETL processes using Talend data integration and data quality tools Should be excellent in RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) knowledge for development using SQL with data analysis skills Should know the Basic UNIX OS and Shell Scripting skills Should know Hadoop metadata management tools like HCatalog Exposure working with HBase Excellent analytical capabilities – Strong interest in algorithms Experience working in DevOps environment with automated builds and automated build validation High level collaboration with other devs and architects Strong initiative with the ability to identify areas of improvement with little direction Team-player excited to work in a fast-paced environment Desired Skills Translate requirements from the business and analysts into technical designs and code Work with stakeholders to develop business rules and business rule exceptions Implement stored procedures and effectively query a database Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution Ensure the best possible performance and quality on the solutions Strong object-oriented programming and design experience Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks, including JUnit, is a plus Exposure to Kafka, Storm, Flume Must have demonstrated experience with Cloud-based Hadoop and Data Warehouse Technologies, such as Amazon EMR, Redshift and DCOS Other Competencies High energy versatile resource with both development skills and business acumen to operate at a fast and accurate speed Cross functional and ability to tackle any environment, willing to jump into other development roles as needed What will make you stand out A champion for innovative, agile development practices and experimenting with the latest technology and trends to produce amazing solutions A self-starter and team player, capable of working with a team of Architects, Developers, Business/Data Analysts, QA and client stakeholders Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles Strong written and verbal communications Whats in it for you?
