The role of Information Security includes protecting intellectual property that is critical to BCG and/or our clients, protecting BCGs brand reputation by securing our environment and data from disclosure as well as protecting people, processes and technology of all systems owned and operated by BCG. The IT Security Architect is an integral role in the overall information security strategy and works with various teams inside BCG and will secure enterprise information by evaluating security requirements; planning, implementing and testing security systems; participate in IT projects representing information security, assisting the in preparation of security standards, policies and procedures and providing information security guidance. Country India City/Town New Delhi Employee Type Regular Job Type Full time Job Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Global IT Director – Security Architecture, Consulting, and Engineering or delegate and working with other functions within BCG, the role will perform the following functions but are not limited to Assists in evaluating business strategies and requirements, implementing information security standards, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments, recommending secure architecture aligned to business architecture, and identifying/driving remediation of integration issues. Assists in the creation, maintenance and delivery of the information security technology strategy and roadmap. Researches/analyzes emerging technologies, designs and new technologies, architectures, and security products in collaboration with system and service owners. Provides analysis and knowledge of solution/application architecture as well as methodologies for the software development life cycle. Assists in the delivery of projects with hands on involvement in the development and configuration of products. Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies and procedures; and incident response analysis. Participates and monitors progress and status of tasks and deliverables on projects and escalates issues and risks timely. Provides research and market assessments on vendor products, packages and services; tests and implements products solving enterprise information security requirements. Suggests alternative security mitigations/compensating controls to allow for business to continue while protecting BCG’s assets. Assists in the configuration, implementation, monitoring, and support of security software/systems that will help ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and corporate policies and procedures. Evaluates compliance to industry and company standards including ISO 27001, NIST, and Cloud Security Alliance standards. Assist in the generation of architecture artifacts and views using Visio. Review security architecture tickets. Perform first level analysis for identified threats and risks. Develop and enhance security checklists and procedures. Basic Job Requirements Bachelors degree (or equivalent); Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience in Information security, with a background in IT infrastructure, network security, security applications and technologies. Knowledgeable in security practices that include administration of security control systems, vulnerability identification and mitigation and good practices for securing/hardening. Working knowledge of tool automation techniques and scripting languages such as Python or Perl. Working exposure to DevSecOps culture and ability to integrate security tools into continuous deployment pipelines desired. Experience in implementing and rolling out commercial and/or open source security products. Technical knowledge with hands on experience across security platforms. Experience in Virtualization Security and Cloud Security desirable. Experience with Internet protocol vulnerabilities, intrusion detection systems, firewall management, network vulnerability analysis, cryptographic theory and practice, incident analysis and response, software testing and security assessment, malicious code and software exploitation techniques, continuous monitoring and event logging, counterterrorism cyber-crimes, computer forensics analysis or computer crime investigation a plus. Key Competencies Requires basic knowledge in information security and technology developed through a combination of degrees or certifications in information security/technology and hands on experience.
