Works collaboratively and proactively with QA Team, Development teams and others across locations. Design and develop effective solutions across services offered Establish and implement best practices for quality assurance processes; develop and utilize benchmark-based metrics and develop & maintain reporting on these measures to ensure continuous improvement. 40 PERCENT of Time Functional/Strategic Responsibilities ( Eg Budget Owner, Function Strategy owner etc) Project Prioritization Project Delivery (Time, cost, quality, Target) Plan, develop, and implement the research of new or improved testing methods, processes, tools, and systems. Project Staffing Contribute and define functional goals Define SLA Budgeting for the function Functional Hiring strategy People and Org review for the function Participate and lead Global initiatives Participate and lead site level initiatives 20 PERCENT of Time Operational Responsibilities ( Eg Day to day, SLA Mgmt & Achievement etc) Day to Day operation Adhere to the SAL (SLA Management) Drive effectiveness by effective work allocation Travel and training 40 PERCENT of Time People Responsibilities ( Eg Hiring, coaching, performance management, providing feedback etc) Performance Management of team members & reporting managers Individual Development Plan Regular 11 and feedback Individual growth Career Pathing for team members Qualifications Education Minimum Degree Requirements Bachelors Preferred Degree Requirements Bachelors Experience Minimum years of related experience required 14 years Preferred years of related experience 12 years Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed Leadership experience leading in IT Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Quality Control, or Quality Management. Advanced skills in defect probability to proactively identify where resources and effort should focus. Demonstrated skills in project management, resource allocation, problem-solving and decision-making, working with and managing highly technical staff. Advanced skills in systems analysis and design, technical writing, understanding multiple databases, client-server, web, mainframe, middleware, and windows technologies using new and emerging technologies. Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, agile) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools. Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles, test execution progress and results reports. Proven ability to drive quality improvement across the SDLC based on quality results. Experience managing automated testing, performance, load and stress testing and other types of highly technical testing. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to understand shared goals and objectives. Ability to set short and long-term department goals that align with overall IT organizational direction. Proven track record of delivering high quality products and services resulting in highly satisfied customers. Experience working with vendors to deliver on business needs. Ability to effectively deal with rapid change in a positive manner and to lead staff through changing priorities.
