Skill: safety , manufacturing , operational excellence , turbine , mechanical engineering , process engineering , ehs; Exp: 15-18 years; Role Summary The Head of Operations India will assume the overall responsibility for leading Operations and Service in India, with particular focus on EHS, Quality, Operational Excellence, Cost Control, and ensuring Compliance and Integrity is met at all times. You will serve as the main point of contact for Operations and Service in India and demonstrate full accountability for functional, business, and company goals. The Head of Operations India reports to Vice President of Global Operations & Sourcing Essential Responsibilities As Head of Operations India for a total span of employees of approx 1,000, you will drive the regional Operations and Service team towards execution of business goals, operational excellence and efficiency manage and monitor KPIs to ensure operations and services are delivered according to plans and commitments, adjust plans when necessary, and communicate across the region and in global functions drive a strong culture of safety and integrity and lead by example ensure sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments per business plan, and the strategy roadmap and programs select, hire, train, and develop your team and provide leadership and direction to the entire team drive a collaborative, cross-functional partnership with the GGO, other supporting and global functions, and external parties Qualifications/Requirements A master degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering or civil engineering, preferably combined with a MBA A minimum of 15 years professional experience in a relevant field, preferably with industry and blade manufacturing knowledge A minimum of 10 years leadership experience, preferably with plant leader experience Experience in working with the governmental body and unions International experience and cultural awareness Strong English language skill (verbal and writing), preferably combined with local language skills Desired Characteristics Strong knowledge of the disciplines of process manufacturing, preferably composites Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work through ambiguity to deliver results Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, and considering the external impact of business activities and decisions on the external environment Demonstrated leadership to successfully motivate and drive accountability for the regional team through employee involvement, safety, and teamwork in a global organization Manufacturing and Supply Chain management acumen Financial management Strong and inclusive communicator, experience in communicating to a diverse audience About Us LM Wind Power, a GE Renewable Energy business (approx. 9300 employees globally), is the worlds leading supplier of blades to the wind industry, and the only supplier that operates on a global basis.
