Front-End Team Manager

Full time

Salary – £60k to £75k depending on experience

Location – Shoreditch

We have a blue-chip client who require a Front-end Team Manager to join on a full time basis.

The ideal candidate will be a highly technical and inspirational manager and worked as a lead JavaScript / Web developer and have extensive management experience.

Experience of working in the Betting / Gaming industry would be highly beneficial for this role.

The following skills will be essential for the role –

Line management – provide leadership and day to day of management to current team of 15 (JavaScript engineers, web developers, designers, iOS developers).

Project management – liaise with stakeholders to communicate progress, manage expectations and help prioritise delivery. Ensure team members have all the necessary support to do their jobs effectively.

Strong technical skills – solid understanding of best practice needed to build efficient and fast modern web-based applications.

Operations – ensure production content stays bug free, delegate and own critical issues through to resolution.

Releases – help coordinate and communicate regular releases to all key stakeholders, both internal and external. Ensure release schedule is timely and causes minimal disruption.

Recruitment – write job specifications, review applications and interview.

Continue to grow a strong team of highly capable individuals that can deliver to the needs of the business.

Brand – oversee creative content and design (e.g. marketing materials, trade shows, corporate website) to ensure the brand maintains a clear and consistent identity.

Providing inspiration – encourage the development of new skills and best of breed technologies to ensure it maintains it’s place in the industry providing innovative and cutting-edge products.
