What youll do Edit reports, research, conference presentations, and time-sensitive deliverables. Assist in training analysts in publishing process requirements and editorial style. Format and prepare for editing assigned reports and other documents each day. Make changes to materials directly into system (typically this will be in MS Word). Highlight any edits or questions as they arise directly on the document using track changes. Take initiative to check and confirm statements, statistics and other material in written research, as necessary (e.g., verify company spellings, product names, etc.) Prepare conference presentations in PowerPoint to deadlines. Complete additional projects as needed. Undertake continuous, job-related training to maintain editorial quality levels and improve individual skills. What you need Two years’ editorial or journalism experience, preferably working for newspapers, magazines, or journals in the field of computers or communications technology, in a busy environment with deadlines. Excellent English language skills written and verbal. Meticulous attention to detail. Numerate and visually literate. Knowledge of the computer and telecommunications industries is helpful. Quick to understand new concepts.
