Main purpose This role provides support to our ELT sales teams based in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, ensuring they have the most detailed, up-to-date information on our ELT and English Assessment product portfolio, and that we take the right new courses to market effectively. This includes Keeping abreast of the product roadmap from the Global Product Office in key portfolio categories for our region, and ensuring the sales teams are well versed on relevant products (through organizing training, toolkits, accurate launch dates, ISBNs and pricing) Managing a team of freelance ELT trainers and specialists to provide in-depth product support part of the customer journey to adoption Supporting the English Marketing Manager to launch out new courses and run events in region Administrative tasks, data and query management (e.g. on Salesforce) Key responsibilities Portfolio Support Evaluate the global product roadmap in conjunction with sales, marketing and local publishing colleagues, to identify customer and market opportunities to drive greater commercial performance in our region. Build strong relationships and work closely with colleagues in the Global Product Organization to ensure we have the best possible frontlist for growth, including proactively planning for pilots and regional testing of new digital platforms and solutions. Monitor and report on sales at course / product level on a monthly basis. Categorize titles and products for growth, sustaining and retirement. Understand and communicate customer requirements for local and/or global product planning, through regular customer visits and occasional third-party market insight projects. Create and own a collated view of competitor strengths and weaknesses at a regional level. Field sales and partner support Manage sales team requests for pre-sales support visits by a pool of specialists, including effective budget management and prioritization of requests In conjunction with marketing, organize author visits to region to drive new business acquisition Draw down relevant information from the Global Product team to provide toolkits, pricing/ISBN lists, training materials and so on for the sales team on key frontlist Collaborate with marketing to produce the monthly regional English newsletter and any other internal ELT-related communications Organize periodic and annual product training (face-to-face and virtual) for sales teams (including distributor partners where appropriate) on key product features, customer profiles, key messages, successful implementation examples, and relevant portfolio trends and research. Product Marketing support Work in collaboration with the English Marketing Manager to launch out new products and services, and to continue to promote key backlist, including Sourcing and securing the services of headline authors Booking their flights, visas and accommodation and managing them in region Working with the wider team to flesh out content agendas for events, symposiums etc Smooth running of events on the day and the various logistical tasks that entails Qualifications Competencies Essential Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a complex matrix organisation Good understanding of Pearsons ELT products and services Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities to provide the best level of support to our sales teams Strong project management skills and high levels of proactivity Willingness to balance things ranging from market insight gathering, author management and day-to-day administrative tasks Intermediate Excel skills, and ability to draw insights from data Ability to travel within the UAE and around the region as required, particularly to Saudi Arabia Desirable Experience conducting market and customer researc Presentation skills Previous experience of using Salesforce Previous experience of working within the English or English Assessment Global Product teams at Pearson Education, Qualifications & Training Bachelors degree
