Job Description
Our client is a leader in cold-forming technology and is one of the largest producers of cold-formed parts in North America.
We are looking for a dual-ticketed tradesperson, licensed as both an electrician and millwright, have stamping press maintenance experience, able to weld with Arc, stick and MIGG, and have PLC troubleshooting experience.

Position Reports To :  Skilled Trades Supervisor
Location: Mississauga
Hourly Rate: starts at $30.90, increases to $32.90 after 12 months
 
Broad Description of Activities and Duties Associated With the Job:
Install/disassemble, assess/troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative/predictive maintenance on equipment, machinery, devices, and physical plant components
Operate forklift, crane, etc. to transport material, machinery, components, etc.
Retrieve/input work order information from Maintenance Program
Advise supervisor of needed repairs and supplies for the department.
Work with internal customers to develop/improve processes
Work with external personnel to co-ordinate activities, obtain materials/parts, etc.
Train peer operators in the most current, correct and efficient operating methods.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or delegated authority.
Maintain work area in a safe and clean manner.
General Qualifications/Required Skills:
Demonstrated understanding and competence with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic (including PLCs) systems and devices with respect to their installation, repair, troubleshooting, and dismantling.
Physical ability and cognitive aptitude to perform the essential duties of the job
Familiarity with safety devices on all machines and devices.
Ability to interpret technical drawings
Reasonable oral and written communication skills to convey and receive information
Decision making techniques based on assessment of a given situation and sound judgment geared to orders of priority.
Basic computer skills
Positive employment record
Specific Formal Training, Certificates, Requirements, Designations or Licenses Required for the Position:
Licensed as an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright (with Welding designation); 
Licensed as an Industrial Electrician with Electronics designation and/or Master Electrician designation would be an asset
3 years recent, related experience in a manufacturing facility
Certified as a forklift and scissorlift operator (with fall arrest)
