Who you are As a Development Manager…You are Responsible for the successful delivery of our SaaS offerings to our customers. Will manage and own the team, put effective development processes in place Choose the right tools to support the delivery of current and new offerings to our customers and markets. Will direct a team of architects, developers and testers. Involve across the full product development lifecycle from requirements specification, design, delivery, test, documentation, release management to support and maintenance. What youll do The position is very hands-on and suits somebody who is looking to demonstrate and build a broad range of skills. There is no “typical day” here, but on any given day, the Development Manager may be involved in Day-to-day management and mentoring of team members for large, complex projects as well as short term customer issues and partner concerns. Handling, motivating and mentorship team members Producing development plans, including high level estimates, resourcing requirements, risk and issue logs. Working with Architects and developers to finalize the technical design of key initiatives. Coordinating with Product Managers, Architects and other functional leads to investigate issues and deliver solutions. Defining the team structure and hiring and developing the team. Implementing and mentorship others on good development practice – including agile – and influencing the wider team. Suggesting and driving through various levels, process and product innovations. Required Technical and Professional Expertise 8 Years of professional experience in handling large and/or risky product development projects in SaaS Technologies. Experience in handling multiple development teams in an agile environment. Demonstrable experience in crafting and motivating large product development teams Superb communication, analytical and social skills with a track record of establishing links within a team, department, organization, with customers and partners. Experience of Crafting, managing, motivating, developing / coaching and appraising resources assigned to the project Keen interest and experience and love to do designing and improving process Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills. Preferred Tech and Prof Experience Familiar with software technologies and environments; Excellent knowledge in Scrum and Agile methodologies. Good interpersonal skills.
