Skill: team player , written communication , leadership skills; Exp: 10-13 years; Role Summary The Cost- out leader will champion the ongoing cost- out initiatives for Land Constrained (LC) platform for GE Renewables, Onshore Wind Asia Region. The person will be responsible for defining and executing these initiatives for the 3MW wind turbines in the region. The candidate will champion cross- function efforts between engineering, sourcing, supply chain, logistics & product teams globally & in the region to help execute & track cost savings to improve margins for the region. Essential Responsibilities The Cost Out Leader-LC Segment is a key role in the GE Onshore Wind in Asia Region for China, ANZ, ASEAN, Japan. The incumbent will Partner with regional & global cross functional teams in building cost out ideas pipeline & execution plan on cost out initiative for Asia Region. Lead the cost out initiative with project management approach involving all stakeholders, team members & colleagues regionally & globally. Report to stakeholders on approach, initiatives, process & support required. Build & maintain cost out ideas deck, carryout workout, lead virtual workshops to generate cost out ideas & track for implementation to realize savings. Partner with LC Product & NPI teams on product cost, localization & launch initiatives with a view to optimize cost for the region. Understand the MGPP, MGTP & product lifecycle. Collaborate with Sourcing, supply chain & finance on tracking costs on as sold vs as executed. Publish Cost handbook for the region. Partner with global commodity leaders & regional commodity leaders & fulfillment leaders to understand & be involved in supplier strategy for cost out & allocation. Partner with ITO-OTR teams to track & build a strong cost out & tracking rhythm including involvement in profsum cost assumptions, specific project requirements, engineering efforts, logistics plan, components strategy for cost out & tracking. Partner with Projects & turnkey teams for cost out related to manpower, extended scope including BOP (balance of plant), installation & commissioning. Partnership with Engineering team on cost out ideas, timelines, bill of material release, execution & close working with Engineering Configuration team. Partner with the logistics team on logistics cost out strategy, execution plan & should cost initiatives. Collaborate with tax & customs & finance team to incorporate & track duties, tax, customs & foreign exchange related costs & benefits. Communicate with global & regional cross functional team & develop a strong connect & rhythm on components / commodities cost out initiatives. Be responsible for smooth coordination & execution of the cost out ideas through the cross functional team. Be responsible to remove roadblocks /challenges in execution through collaborative cross functional approach. Maintain & track progress & ensure regular discussion rhythm with the team. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in STEM OR Masters degree or MBA or Equivalent. 10 years of industry experience in driving cost- out initiatives/GE leadership program talent. Demonstrated ability to form strong cross-functional relationships and align stakeholders around a common goal. Ability to distill large amounts of information and effectively communicate key messages. Strong analytical skills & project management approach Self-starter, highly motivated, innovative and creative thinker Team player, ability to work with colleagues in different geographies, cultures & time zones.
