Skill: bx , html , exceptions; Exp: 0-3 years; As part of the extended Controls Testing team, undertake periodic product and thematic reviews across the CCO businesses, challenging control design and control operating effectiveness. Develop strong and productive working relationships with local line management, Controls team in London, and global Assurance & Controls Testing team to ensure continuous engagement on key deliverables and project updates are shared on a timely basis. Maintain a strong level of interaction and continuous communication with matrix management, including local and UK and US based line management. Develop engagement with CCO management as and when needed to ensure they understand their risks and have controls and processes in place to manage those risks. Challenge the operational risk and control self assessments performed by CCO and business areas (BX, BUK, CCO Tech, CSO etc) Review how issues identified are resolved and whether actions taken are suitable and sustainably implemented. Work with the Risk & Control teams in providing opinions and views on the status of controls in the various asset classes across the front office. Respond to ad hoc Risk & Control requests across the three lines of defence. Your Role The individual would be responsible for planning and executing Controls Testing reviews and reporting findings with supervision from Assurance & Controls testing teams Ensuring reviews are managed within the approved scope and budgets on a regular basis. Building and developing relationships with key Vertical, Horizontal and all 3 Lines of Defence stakeholders to drive Barclays Control Framework agenda. Essential Skills Experience in the application of and methodologies relating to Control Design Effectiveness Assurance and Operating Effectiveness Testing Have a core understanding of and experience of working in a Risk & Control/Assurance environment. Experience to consolidate and process information from multiple sources to create meaningful insight and reporting for stakeholders Proven experience of influencing Stakeholders including briefings and presentations Experience or knowledge of working within a regulatory and control environment Experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives Experience in providing informed opinion and being a trusted source on business / functions policies and standards. Desirable Skills Accounting equivalent qualification from Audit / Risk background.
