GCL-E2 We own the strategy, support and development of our Shared Service platform (ServiceNow) which is used to support IT, HR and Finance and there are great opportunities to leverage the capability to introduce efficient processes, workflow, features and functionality to improve further services to our customers. We work closely with ServiceNow to develop solutions and prioritise the introduction of new features and services to transform our IT services for our customers within AstraZeneca, enabling all areas of our business. We maintain the Configuration Management database (CMDB) and associated processes for AstraZeneca. Function / Team / Location The purpose of Shared Service & Automation Team is to drive customer experience improvements across our IT services through innovation and automation. We work with stakeholders across all areas of AstraZeneca to deliver End to End Service Improvements across IT to ensure our services are as effective and as efficient as possible, and to ensure our service support our current and future business needs. We maintain the Configuration Management database for AstraZeneca and manage AstraZenecas hardware and software assets and associated processes. Key Accountabilities The Configuration Manager in End User Services is responsible for defining and executing against the following activities Responsible for the technical implementation of Configuration Management within ServiceNow Responsible for the definition and oversight of the governance structures and developing/delivering policy and processes for managing Configuration modules within ServiceNow Responsible for the ServiceNow demand and development requirements for Configuration Management, partnering within the team and across IT Partnering with the IT Asset Manager to capture requirements, define process and optimize implementation within ServiceNow Partnering with IT stakeholders for each CI Class type to capture requirements, define process and optimize implementation within ServiceNow Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve and optimize the Configuration Management processes Developing and communicating Configuration policy, system and process governance reporting to stakeholders across End User Services, IT and wider AstraZeneca IT stakeholders Work closely with other stakeholders in Shared Service and Automation team, particularly the SS&A Tools & Event Architect and Global Software Asset Management Lead to seek opportunities for alignment and collaboration to ensure we have one source of truth for data on AstraZeneca Service, Hardware and Software assets Lead on the future strategic roadmap for AstraZeneca toolset for Configuration Management to ensure key opportunities to integrate with other service management toolsets Leading the creation of Configuration Reporting and providing other reporting as required to stakeholders and business areas Work with the team to drive continuous improvement to all our processes and procedures and seek opportunities for synergies and collaboration with other teams in End User Services Establishing and driving outcomes that are measurable, sustainable, and aligned to industry best practices Job Dimensions The position will report to the Configuration & Asset Lead The position will partner with Configuration Manager and IT Asset Manager roles within Configuration and Asset Management The position will partner with multiple stakeholders within IT and AZ Business Job Description Role and Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience and a demonstrated knowledge of Configuration Management implemented in ServiceNow (Helsinki or later), working in a large, global enterprise organisation with a varied and large CI environment Experience of implementing and/or maintaining Configuration Management using ServiceNow Service Management system (Discovery, Asset Management, Procurement, Contract Management and Software Asset Management modules), be ServiceNow System Administrator qualified and/or transferrable experience with other service management and discovery tools The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of a CMDB hierarchy implemented in ServiceNow ie Class, forms, dashboards, reporting Candidate should have experience with ITIL methodologies; ITIL v3 foundation minimum, ideally ITIL v3 Intermediate in Service Transition, with experience in a large enterprise ITIL environment Candidate must have a demonstrated knowledge of Configuration Management best-practice governance methods, associated processes and policies. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing automated Configuration Management processes Ideal candidate should be confident importing, manipulating and exporting large data sets using SQL, VBScript, Business Objects, MS Access, MS Excel and/or other technology Candidate must have strong ability to balance stakeholder demand and influence IT stakeholders Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills; self-driven, detail oriented, and determined Candidate should be flexible and adaptable with the ability to work on multiple assignments and must be customer-facing; ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical and aggressive timelines in a fast-paced environment Experience in requirements gathering, determining business process flow, and task level mapping Ability to task manage colleagues on a day to day basis for Configuration Management activites Essential Skills and experience Minimum 5 years experience in ServiceNow implemented CMDB (Must) Minimum 10-13 years overall IT experience (Must) Strong knowledge in ServiceNow of CMDB implementation, maintenance and hierarchy (Must) ITIL Foundation certification (Must) ITIL Intermediate certification Service Transition (preferred) ServiceNow Administration certification (Preffered) Dashboard & Reporting Export and Import ServiceNow Discovery Configuration Manager Information Technology
