This is achieved with company wide standard SCM tools like Git, maven, atlassian bitbucket, rundeck and providing technical software development standards around software building by providing tools that consistently build, package, report on, and ensure the integrity of our developed software products throughout all environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, implement and support high-quality software build systems for FIS banking and payments projects Introduce new techniques and technologies for new build systems and evolve existing systems Maintain and enhance external interfaces to build systems and information Stay a breast of the latest in build technologies like Jenkins, Building in the Cloud and Git Provide design and implementation guidance and tutoring as necessary to project team members in best practices, tool use, and quality assurance Develop build scripts and tools for builds, using most appropriate languages and technologies Integrate automated builds and build artifacts into test environments, unit test harnesses, and code analysis tools Install and configure FIS software components Provide technical leadership for all the development and test environments used by the FIS project teams Provide hands-on technical support for project team members to build machines, servers, and build environments, and ensure security compliance for system builds Contribute to overall architecture and design, working closely with the FIS solutions and infrastructure architects Hands on development, plus contributing to the overall software life cycle including participating in release management reviews, ensuring coding standards are followed and introducing new technologies to the team Work with FIS project teams during requirements gathering stage to define project configuration and software version control goals are clearly defined Assist with software installation and associated troubleshooting activities Work with infrastructure experts to provide infrastructure design for banking and payments solutions. Support performance testing and tuning on FIS payments and banking projects Provide detailed technical and functional discussions with client, hardware vendor and other 3rd parties to make configuration and release management recommendations based on experience and knowledge of FIS products Acts as expert for project teams in the proposal, planning, design, and delivery phases of FIS solutions. Hands-on capability to participate in proof of concepts to assist in installing and configuring FIS products to support client requirements. Communicates and validates configuration and release management with infrastructure teams, project management teams, and technology services management teams. Work with Corporate FIS Configuration Management Teams to develop and communicate enterprise standards to FIS project teams. Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations Provide third level support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise. Communicate and collaborate with internal FIS staff as well as vendors for configuration and troubleshooting. Qualification Required at least Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field, masters is a plus. ITIL or equivalent certification Dev-ops training that contains Continuous Integration and Deployment techniques as part of the curriculum is a plus Microsoft and/or IBM Server Certification highly regarded Required Experience 5 years in Software Development 2 years in a lead configuration and release management role Either Perl or Python Familiar with OOP with either C#, Java or C Deep experience with Configuration Management concepts, build framework design and architecture Must have demonstrated a solid project where they designed and implemented a cross platform build framework Experience with Linux, Unix and Windows installations and upgrades is required Experience with Git, BitBucket, Maven, Rundeck (or similar products) Source code administration experience a must Full life-cycle experience (design through delivery and support), Developing and improving CM standards, practices and procedures FIS is the world’s largest global provider dedicated to financial technology solutions.
