The Change and Implementation lead will be responsible for the coordination and management of application and system releases across various environments from test to production. The core responsibility would be leading scheduling and control of specific environments Your role will require a strong understanding of Infrastructure/Application and Business systems to enable the scheduling of the required resources to be available to allow the Testing Streams to have the appropriate environments available and lead the implementation across environments Job background/context Citis Global Transaction Services (GTS) is a leading provider of cash management, treasury, trade, custody, clearing, depositary receipts and agency and trust services. No travel is envisaged for this role, but is occasionally possible Qualifications Key Responsibilities Coordinates End-2End deployment to environments and processes under development structure in order to facilitate improve knowledge sharing between developers testers to maintain and improve quality and delivery speeds Provide management reports on status of environment lifecycle Contributes to the service introduction lifecycle Lead release packages for deployments to Test and Production environments Lead Capacity & demand management function Release Planning Acting as liaison point for different delivery teams to ensure a smooth and timely delivery of software products and updates. Release building Champion a DevOps capability to identify, define and implement process improvements to effectively manage the code release process Release deployment Co-ordinate release planning and execution across multiple, disparate systems and components Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members Contributes to creation of standard approaches and techniques Contribute towards effective release management and continuous build process Identify and agree with the (appropriate) change release managers the suitable environment Out of the box thinking, to identify and work around process design Person Specification Knowledge/Experience Basic understanding of how payment clearing systems work Demonstrated technical management skills Experience in working multiple OS (Unix, Linux, Win) Basic knowledge of Bit bucket, Team city, Jenkins Strong knowledge on SDLC/Agile Methodology Time management skills and the ability to simultaneously work on multiple deliverables Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment Strong communication skills; intelligent, articulate and resilient in the face of challenge from stakeholders at all levels Excellent team player who is comfortable working in unison with development, test and production support teams maintaining large scale systems Must be organized Skills Strong problem solving, and analysis skills. Prior experience of TTS/Cooperate banking application landscape would be distinct advantage Use of a Service Management tool (ideally Service Now) Deep understanding of technology Worked within Agile environment and other methodology. Expertise in optimizing deployment processes for complex software solutions Prior experience on capacity & demand Planning & management Working knowledge of the software version control, build, work item tracking, release processes and project lifecycle support tooling within Experience of working with Webspehere, Tomcat, SQL Server Knowledge of Java build tooling i.e. Gradle, Ant, Maven Experience of Git as a version control tool Experience of managing multiple environments from development to production Ability to remain focused throughout high pressure production/test critical situations Self-starter with high energy and drive to meet the needs of a demanding customer environment Evidence of the ability to make quick decisions; to prioritize competing tasks and demands; to solve problems for short and long term effect Qualifications BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent Competencies Ability to work effectively in cross-organizational situations and be enthusiastic about building quality software products with world-class people, processes and tools Possess highly effective written and oral communication skills; excellent organizational and project management skills Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge with experience in design and development of large applications Promotes teamwork and maintains effective communication within and across groups
