Responsibilities
Travel to strategic customers to realize and develop new sales opportunities by offering best in class technical services
Establish effective customer and territory call schedule
Responsible for the development of a Business Plan that meets and/or exceeds the fiscal sales and profit targets for the territory as approved by the Regional Manager. The Business Plan includes sales & expense budgets as well as a detailed strategy outlining a process for the attainment of territory objectives and goals.
Responsible for the management and achievement of the fiscal business plan to maintain existing business volume, and prospect for new business development.
Develop strategies for new business growth encompassing the search for new opportunities with existing clients as well as active prospecting of new customers and end users. Controls expenses to meet budget goals.
Responsible for the maintenance and development of customer relationships at all levels of account and/or branch location covering each applicable market segment for MRO customers. Responsible for the management and development of customer relationships of key decision makers at target end users for MRO distributors.
Responsible to record all relevant customer interactions via the CRM tool on an ongoing weekly basis. Reports to encompass reporting on new opportunities, market research, competitor activity, pricing, BP forecast updates, relationship progress, and SWOT analysis
Responsible for the attainment of personal development goals as developed in concert with the Regional Manager to cover business and personal improvement. Initiate requests for course approvals and recommend relevant reading materials in conjunction with personal development goals.
Requirements and Qualifications/Competencies
Graduate of Mechanical Engineering or Technical College program
Must be willing to travel frequently within designated region
Valid Driver’s License in good standing
Possession of a post-secondary degree in Engineer or Technical.
Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications. Valid driver’s license.
Travel: 50% of the time
