The senior Team leader group owns the factory, process and is a counterpart for other departments. Is proactive and creates pull for improvement.
+ To manage the day to day operation of a value stream to deliver agreed operation performance criteria in terms of output, costs, quality, customer service, safety and hygiene
+ To provide line management for an assigned team; allocating work, managing staffing levels, delivering communications, constructing engagement plans, setting direct repport development plans and ensuring that all attendance, grievance and disciplinary matters are dealt with in accordance with company procedures

Context and Scope:
+ The Senior Team Leader is a hands-on management role, responsible for the day-to-day coordination of a group of associates to ensure all KPI’s of shift, daily and weekly production goals. The role provides the first point of contact for the associates, ensuring that there is regular and timely communication with the team and that the majority of issues are dealt with at team level rather than being escalated to the Value stream manager. The Senior Team Leader will ensure that the right people are aware of any issues that may have an impact upon performance and will ensure that via regular communication with the Value stream manager, they are well informed of current and potential future issues.
+ Reporting into the Value stream manager, the Senior Team Leader will manage and measure day to day work, ensuring a continuous improvement focus within the team and will actively lead processes, managing daily and weekly meetings and supporting the team to develop a problem solving approach. The Senior Team Leader should be able to facilitate problem solving, carry out process confirmations and identify deviations from operational standards. In addition, the Senior Team Leader will carry out a skills evaluation within the team, identifying gaps and propose development solutions.
+ The Senior Team Leader will carry out return to work interviews, grievance, disciplinary investigations and will lead the assoociates development plan process, ensuring that all team training needs are monitored and reviewed and will provide regular coaching, guidance and advice on day to day team issues and problems. He will ensure regular business communication to team through team meeting. He is responsible for team Gallup/engagement planning and team-build activities.

1. Education & Professional Qualification
Excellent standards of numeracy and literacy at least to hbo level
A strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to relate to people at all levels from a variety of backgrounds and to confront difficult and challenging situations as required.
A manufacturing background with an understanding of principles of Lean Manufacturing and basic technical skills
